Lenovo 3000 C200

The C200 has very good components inside, with a sub-par finish on the outside.

Excellent battery endurance • Rugged design • Small footprint

Uneven screen brightness • Tiny keyboard • Tablet functionality costs more

Lenovo 3000 C200 8922 (Core 2 Duo 1.66 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD)

The Lenovo 3000 C2100 doesn't feel quite as sturdy as its ThinkPad cousins, but its case--silver on the outside, dark gray on the inside--features metal hinges and an overall solid construction. Measuring 13.3 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 1.5...

Inexpensive; strong performance for the price; lengthy battery life; comfortable keyboard; solid assortment of ports and connections; robust system-management and help utility.

Standard-aspect display with low native resolution; shallow mouse keys; one-year warranty is short for a business model; few dedicated media controls; no option for a fingerprint reader.

The Lenovo 3000 C200 forgoes flashy extras and instead delivers solid Core 2 Duo performance at an impressively low price.

Lenovo C200 Review

Compared to the previous C100, you can see right away that the newer model is much faster, and on par with the majority of new laptops out right now. The only part that changed from the C100 to a lesser component in the C200 is the battery. The old...

Whisper quiet cooling system ; Very strong screen hinges ; Comfortable Thinkpad grade keyboard ; Improved spring loaded SD slot ; High performance with the Core 2 Duo CPU ; Sleek Design

Battery life dropped slightly from the old C100 model ; Screen could be improved with higher contrast, or better viewing angles

Like most laptops these days, some of the included software isn’t always welcome. The difference between out-of-the-box performance and after a good spring cleaning can be like night and day. If you decide to go with a fresh Windows install, I would...

Lenovo 3000 C200

The C200's keyboard, carried over from the ThinkPad line, is one of the best on the market. It lacks the patented TrackPoint pointing stick, but the touchpad is very responsive. As with the C100, the mouse buttons tend to be noisy. The unit runs pretty...

Sleeker design than the previous version. Excellent keyboard. Core 2 Duo processor and 1GB of RAM

Noisy mouse buttons

The C200 is back in style with a better-looking chassis, and it delivers performance numbers comparable with the Dell Inspiron E1505 (Core 2 Duo) for under $1,000.

Lenovo 3000 C200 Review and Prices

Lenovo's 3000 C200 series of business laptop computers stand out in the world of widescreen displays as these more traditional portables offer a square screen to look at.

"There is no good reason they are here. Know this."

When their plant goes up in flames at some point, it will probably release a deadly gas for the whole population to die with. Someone opened the door and welcomed the vampire in. Good job.

There are NO pros, except for the poor simpletons who get a job there until the agenda has been met.

See above. The cons are pretty bad. See North Korea. They could fix that, but they haven't. My dad was a vet, and he warned me about this.

"different experience"

My overall experience with this bare-bones machine has been great. I was flying in very small planes quite a bit - twin otters - and luggage had to be stowed; and they weren't always gentle. The only damage, a small crack near the left hinge, is the...

Value for money...simply great.

Not many, getting slow now (5 years later)

"Tough laptop with decent speed and a GREAT price"

For the price you can't beat it. It may not ...

It's cheap and you get a lot for you dollar. Shipped for less than $625 dollars in 2008 with a Duo processor is amazing. The battery life is excellent after over 2 years of use I still get 4 hours It's also tough, drop it and feel safe

Vista sucks, it was slow, the drivers weren't right and still aren't. The downgrade disks you can buy optionally for it were Lenovo's disk restore software, you never install XP you restore a disk image, and it never really worked correctly

"BOYCOTT LENOVO!!!!!"

IBM did a terrible disservice to this country when they sold the computer manufacturing operation to the Chinese. Over the course of a decade or so, they had built the Thinkpad line from overpriced junk into one of the premier brands in the world....

No imaginable pros

A disaster for the American economy

"STAY AWAY!!!"

I purchased the 3000 C200 and I too experienced a problem connecting w/wifi. I called Lenovo/IBM's sorry excuse for tech support and gave up after going in circles for over 2 hours. I did find out one thing however before hanging up with the Lenovo rep...

none that I can think of

Horrendous tech support
