I suspended two of these in bottom chamber of Antec P182. Used StretchMagic. If hard-mounted the drives would be a bit louder. HDD temperatures did not increase with these, stayed around 32-33 C. There has to be some airflow for temperature to be in...

Works as advertised

 

A cheap noise fix. My drives are inaudible now. Coupled with some fancy heatsinks, PSU and fans (Scythe, SilenX, Thermalright, Coolmax) I literally cannot hear my machine power up.

Works. The noise is gone ; Easy to assemble and install hard drive ; Rubber mountings provided dampen vibration

Needs a 5 1/4 slot. No way around that but it is still a con ; Difficult/impossible to use with screwless drive cages

One last thought: if you don't own a raptor drive, you probably don't need this thing. If you DO own one, BUY THIS NOW!! save your sanity!

This product is awesome. My 150G raptor drive used to drive me crazy with the noise. I actually disabled the virus scanner because i thought removing a lethal virus would be less maddening than having to listen to this thing pound away for an hour or...

Part of the problem might have been inadequate airflow. I didn't have much air flowing over the enclosure and that may have caused things to get too hot.

Was compatible with my Antec P180, allowing me to mount a HDD in a 5.25" bay

Good overall Adapter/Silencer

 

Be careful with the silicone inner linings. Take your time to line it up properly. If you make a minor mistake you can't pull it off easily. You should use a razor and trim it if its only a couple of millimeters.

This silencer allows: using a 3.25 inch hard drive in a case that's only equipped w/ only 5.15 inch bays, dampens about 5-10 dBs, w/ a 80mm case fan on it, very rugged aluminum construction, aesthetically pleasing.

I can still hear my Seagate Barracuda 200GB 7200 drive clearly through this if a fan isn't blowing on it.

Works great

 

Works great for silencing my WD Raptor 74Gb. IT was the only thing in my case making noise after recent changes to all low rpm 120mm fans.

Raised temps from about 28C to 34C on my harddrive. But was completely expected as its in an enclosure up in the 5.25 rack instead of the 3.5 rack in front of the fan.

not too bad

 

my raptor wasnt even usuable when it was my windows hard drive becuase it was sooooo loud but now i can only hear it slitghly which is a really good thing

Looks good, silenced my raptor alot, not to expensive, NEWEGG shipping got it from callifornia to ohio in 2 days thats fast

it says it silences it 95% but really its only 50-75 im guessing

It does what it says. Took the intolerable high pitched whine from an older drive down to where you can't hear it unless you put your head right next to the case.

You can't tell if the drive is working by sound anymore.

Loud before, loud after

 

For what it does (which isn't much), I certainly feel like I forked out a lot of money. This is a good buy for true noise-hating freaks who water-cool or go completely fanless. For those types, research the output sound levels of potential hard drives....

A big hunk of metal that, I hope, distributes the heat of the hard drive. No moving parts and standard sizes means that it will live in your computer through many upgrades.

To say this soaks up 90% of a hard drive's noise is just bunk. My subjective assessment would be: 20%. Really, don't expect miracles.
