Highly Recommended

I recommend this laptop to anyone wanting to play moderately demanding video games on a budget. None of the cons are really a reason not to buy it in my opinion.

This is one of the better laptops that I have owned. I was a little afraid to buy a decent laptop since I have been a firm believer in having a high quality desktop, but I am glad I opted for the laptop. For this money, I believe this laptop is well...

I haven't had NVidia Optimus recognize a game yet. It usually doesn't switch to the dedicated graphics card properly. However, I do not believe this is enough to take it down any eggs since you can simply right-click the application icon and tell it to...

think twice

works great for games until you try to play the witcher two away from your desk (not plugged into the wall charging) ; The game starts to lag if you try this ; Starcraft 2 works great on this pad and it can handle high level graphics

The computer freezes and eventually blue screens if i try to full screen a video game, I knew i was taking a risk buying this comp. I just want to make sure others know before they risk a painful experiance at times

MSI is trying to make it right

I was told in the manufacturer comments on my last review to contact MSI. I did and am pretty satisfied. I'm glad that upgrading to the SSD didn't void my warranty. I was also offered an HDD replacement, where I could service the laptop myself with...

As stated before, great performance. The hardware they packed in is great. The "Warranty void if removed" sticker doesn't void your warranty in the US

Hard drive failure, poor viewing angle, s-bar utility

Disappointed

MSI customer service at work: Here's my timeline. RMA delivery confirmation puts my laptop there 8/30/11 9/6/11 I call (website says waiting for unit) 9/6/11 CS rep (after 35 minute wait) says they received today. I asked about delivery confirmation...

Specs are phenomenal for the price. Does exactly what I bought it for, good speed, lots of RAM, plays my games on the go. (Please read Cons and Other thoughts)

Warranty void sticker placed over RAM and HDD / SSD cover. Really?!?! If I'd have seen that on the pictures of the laptop I wouldn't have bought it ; Software eject only on DVD drive ; Power cord insert on the side instead of back, inconvenient ; Unit...

Really good Laptop

Many people are complaining about BSOD, the first thing I did was to format the c drive and install Windows 7 Ultimate, then I download the latest drivers from msi.com and the nvidia driver from nvidia.com , and I haven't had a single BSOD!!! I...

I bought this laptop for use in college and for some occasional gaming. Have been using it for two weeks and these are my toughs ; Professional look and it wont get any fingerprints ; Full keyboard ; 4 speakers with THX sound ; Reasonable battery life...

Poor angle view (looks really dark when viewing from an angle) ; The keyboard doesn't have light ; Annoying S-Bar, having a cute star at the top of your screen is a no go ; No eject button on the DVD drive

Nice performance, subpar support

I went ahead and voided the warranty, removed the tamper evident sticker, and stuck a shiny new SSD in. This laptop has very limited duty, and it took the new HD rather well. The original HD undoubtedly just failed, it wasn't shocked suddenly or...

Nice performance. Good build quality. Bundled well. Great WoW machine on the go

Hard drive failed, MSI's US website was down so I could start an RMA. Screen viewing angle is very poor. Warranty is voided by sticker that you remove to unscrew cover for fixing hd, upgrading RAM, etc

Another update from 7/7/2011 11:55:07 PM !

This laptop has not made a BSOD for a solid month - it was only after installing ALL the latest drivers available, when this laptop did not make a BSOD. Seriously - update all your drivers to the newest one and it

Just an addendum to the last reviews I've made for this - read up on the posts I've made

Even after solving the BSOD problem, this laptop still comes up short in value. Other laptops are quadcore with faster hard drives, about equal video cards - at around the same price ; The value was good when it was released, but there are better...

Vincent

I believe this computer is amazing, I just hate that I can't play some games or use certain software without it freaking out because the computer has 2 different cards in it, so, I found if you turn off all power saver settings, and if you go into the...

Everything but cons

S-Bar has to go and a actual button be put on the disc drive, the Intel graphics card has to go, a fix for the BSOD, and a bigger vent for the one main fan
