Review MSI GE70-i547W7H Notebook

Lean GT gamer. The GE range aims at tighter budgets and bids midr

Stable load performance; Good gaming performance; High contrast FHD; Matte TFT screen; Four speakers; Easy access hardware (upgrade, cleaning)

Clattery keyboard; Yielding chassis; No eSATA; Stiff touchpad keys; High weight

MSI blunders with the keyboard. It might feature a useful layout and accurate keys for gamers (conic cavity), but that does not justify the wobbly stroke caused by an unstable plate. The adjective “wobbly” can also be used for the case. The plastic...

Good performance, Excellent display, Solid, backlit keyboard, Superb sound

Mediocre battery life, A few annoying key placements, Bloatware

In the end, the MSI GE70 2OE-017US isn't the fastest or coolest-looking laptop, but with 12GB of RAM, a swift quad-core CPU, a standard Blu-ray drive, and a huge, beautiful screen, it's a heck of a nice package for the price.

Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB review

Given the problems that we had in testing, we recommend holding off on SATA 600 for the time being.

The Barracuda is also £60 more than a SATA 300 2TB disk. Until better-performing SATA 600 boards (or PCI Express 2.0 adaptors) are available, we'd advise against splashing out on the new interface.

MSI Power issues

-For the cost you can get a lot of laptop that looks nice and preforms well

-Poor and slow tech support -I have had three MSI computers the first one had power issues about two years the computer could no longer be charged because the connection to the motherboard became loose. I sent it back to have them fix it which took...

MSI Laptop Stop working

Overall experience was ok. However for it to only last 9 months is not what I would expect from MSI.

Fast, great gaming rig, quiet, lots of bells and whistles

Well it was good until it just shut off this weekend and it wont power back on. Not a knock on Newegg or MSI. Usually MSI is rock solid. Contacted MSI via email for repair

Just past 1 year of use, here's my review

Despite the cons, this laptop is still an excellent buy. Handles most new games at medium to high, older games and games that are optimized well can run on ultra. After a year of use my only regrets are not getting the 15.6 inch because it barely fits...

Fairly slim design for a gaming laptop ; Great backlit keyboard ; Msata port for upgrading storage ; Put in a SSD as your primary drive for optimal performance ; Very powerful components for the price

Not a quad core, If youre going to do a lot of gaming, the dual core will likely bottle neck a lot of more intensive games (i.e. Star Citizen) ; Runs hot during intensive gaming (85-95 C), though I've never owned a laptop before this so I have little...

Going strong 3 years in

I would highly recommend this laptop. I am amazed that it has been through such heavy daily use and being brought to class in a backpack with me and it still runs great.

I will have had this laptop for 3 full years in a couple of months, and I have had practically no issues. Even with my neglect this laptop is still going, I have never cleaned it out and rarely done any software cleaning. Everything still works...

Can be loud and puts off a good bit of heat. Had an issue for a while where it kept reverting back to integrated graphics for some games even after telling it to use the dedicated card.(Not sure if that was my laptop's fault or NVIDIA's).

Works like a champ

Definitely a great Gaming Laptop but if you're not on the road a lot you could build a better PC for less.

Great 'Gaming Laptop' and all around workhorse ; I go on the road a lot and after purchasing this Laptop have never been bored

Performance cut in half without being hooked up to a charger
