MSI GS70 Stealth (GS70 2OD-002US)

The MSI GS70 Stealth (GS70 2OD-002US) is a solid ultraportable gaming laptop, but even with good performance and battery life, it's a close race with the competition.

Long battery life for a gaming laptop. Slim design. Includes a SteelSeries keyboard optimized for gaming. Lovely 1,920-by-1,080 display with anti-glare finish

Generic design is fairly conservative

The MSI GS70 Stealth (GS70 2OD-002US) ($1,999.99, as tested) is the latest in the small but growing niche of ultraportable gaming machines—laptops that pack gaming capability into slim, light designs with efficient mobile components and vastly better...

MSI GS70 Stealth Gaming Laptop Review

Over the last couple of generations the mobile team over at MSI have started to move towards more slimline, high end chassis for their laptops. The latest model to follow that trend is the GS70 Stealth which MSI claim to be the thinnest and lightest...

Can't complain

For the price, I'm pretty happy with the purchase so far.

I'm pretty happy with it so far. I've had it for about a week now and I can't complain about anything. But to be fair, I have actually pushed it yet so we'll have to wait and see ; I've noticed a lot of comments about the track pad but I personally...

Worth the money, AWESOME.

Great laptop! I used this to replace my old desktop that needed upgrading and wanted something i could use for gaming and something that i would take with me anywhere for school and such. This is a great laptop especially for the price. It handles...

The integrated track pad can be a little weird sometimes, but i use it as a thin client on my desk so i dont run into this problem, but somone probably will. also I HATE the tiles in windows 8, however with a little know how you can set up your rig to...

Very good! Only one issue.

All around awesome high quality built laptop. It has I similar body to a Macbook Pro, and plays games in decent quality. The only issue I've had is the track-pad not working. There is a track-pad enable/disable button, but that doesn't seem to do...

The only issue I've had is the track-pad not working. There is a track-pad enable/disable button, but that doesn't seem to do anything (yes I've gotten the latest drivers. Luckily it works fine with mice, although it's still a bit inconvenient. Over...

So far, so good.

Would have liked the gpu to support multiple hdmi output options instead of one and two mini display ports in order to save me from the purchase of an adapter. Also would've liked this model to include two ssd's instead of one but its not a huge deal....

Boots fast and runs basic tasks well ; Games runs smoothly on the gtx 765m ; Keyboard lighting is nice and works well ; Yet to experience any severely high running temps so that means the fans are doing their thing ; Appealing look and feels like a...

Keyboard isn't the greatest as far as the quality but is far better than your average keyboard so i cant really complain much ; Windows 8 is just annoying and unnecessary and has some minor bugs/flaws with some software but has nothing to do with the...

Excelent Machine

Windows 8 is a awkward adjustment to make from 7 but this can be taken care of by making the free upgrade to 8.1 and changing some options to boot directly to the old desktop. The battery life is better than what is advertised for the most part. It...

Very well made machine overall. Gives my friends a serious case of tech envy. It's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it from gaming to 3D design software. The big screen is nice and its surprisingly thin and light for its size ; The free tv...

Very minor details, but the aluminum scratches easily and the back light on the keyboard does not show through the keys, only around them. I haven't had to deal with this yet but the battery cant be taken out without removing the entire bottom

Impressive laptop

The laptop is very fast as you would expect from it's specs and price tag ; I especially like the backlit keyboard but the light isn't in the keys only around them so it really doesn't help to identify them in the dark, it just looks cool ; For a...

All of my cons are really not significant but I feel the need to point them out ; The track pad is pretty bad. It's sensitive when it shouldn't be and not responsive when I need it to work. I plan to use it with an wireless mouse so it doesn't apply to...

An awesome form factor does an awesome job

The screen is fantastic. It's matte screen is bright, vibrant, and giant. I've seen complaints about colors, but I think they're nitpicking. It looks great and that's what matters ; Keyboard is very responsive and the backlit keys go a long way for a...

The trackpad is infuriating. It isn't that it doesn't work - it's that the settings are so hard to get right. Your track pad is automatically disabled when typing and I had to go into my regedit to change it WHILE using settings in both Metro and...

Everyday Bit of Everything Laptop

When shopping for my next laptop I won't be looking at MSI again. The price point does not meet the quality. I can live with what I bought for now but don't see myself keeping this laptop longer than a year.

The laptop seems to handle my semi heavy gaming sessions well. I love the cooling system on this laptop. I have it on most of the day for work and for play. This laptop has yet to over heat. The laptop powers on super fast! The battery life is just OK

This is by far the absolute worst track pad I have ever had on a laptop before. Sometimes you have to jab at the keys pretty hard to get letters to type. The space bar is also finicky. The back lit keyboard has already started to burn out in multiple...
