Cheap, cheap, cheap. Offers decent but not astounding gaming performance combined with solid business skillz

Mushy keyboard with a misplaced Control key. Hot fan makes for sweaty mouse hand. Where’s our Blu-ray drive

MSI's GX630 gaming notebook

Although every major manufacturer has taken a stab at the gaming notebook market, the vast majority of entrants in the field carry high price tags. The PC gaming community can be a very lucrative market, but the reality is that few gamers may have...

MSI has successfully produced a remarkably well-rounded gaming notebook in the GX630. The system's Athlon X2 QL-62 may not be able to hang with faster Core 2 Duos, but it's a good match for the unit's GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor and 1280x800...

MSI GX630-028US Gaming Notebook

The MSI GX630-028US gaming notebook packs a punch, but its price won't knock you out.

This past November, MSI unveiled its latest notebook, the GX630-028US. For the first time, MSI has focused a product on gaming use, as this newest product packs some impressive specs in order to run the most demanding entertainment software. MSI has...

meh

bought this for college because it was a great deal for the computer I was getting. Minor issues were never justification enough to shell out $70 for shipping to rma it before, its a bit old and outdated now. Will likely upgrade to a name brand model.

looks awesome. Worked well for the most part

wireless has been funky from the beginning. About every other boot the lights would come on but the laptop never actually booted. Also would never ever wake up from sleep mode. Battery died completely after a year and a half but this wasn't significant...

Be Warned!

ran out of room there the support and customer service doesnt speak english very well, so if you are not used to HEAVY accents then u wont know what they r saying, they also transfer u back and forth from one another and u never get ur questions...

Very good video card for the price, beautiful case, got this for 599.99 with MAR, plays all my games at full settings, just played AVATAR in DX10 on everything full settings no glitches or anything. I loved this laptop, but the cons outway my love for...

The first time i turned it on the screen never came on, so i turned it off then back on and then it froze on startup. Tried again and got to the installation and everything, that was good, then it restarted and the screen stayed black again. I read...

Awesome while it lasted

This customer service is absolutely ridiculous. I'm a college student. I need this computer for classes. It's been a bit less than two months since I first sent the computer away (2 months which I spent using my roommate's computer for my papers), and...

For the price, this thing is a great deal. It runs most games at mid-high settings, and the turbo button is pretty useful. The aluminum casing smudges easily, but it looks awesome so that's not a huge issue

MSI's customer service is an absolute nightmare. I hadn't owned this thing for more than 3 months when it began acting up. The screen would give me some weird vertical lines on startup, and it wouldn't respond to any commands I gave it. I called MSI...

MSI brings a bargain

I bought this laptop so I could bring some mild gaming with me while I travel. For the price this laptop is awesome. My main game at the moment, Aion, runs at medium high settings. The Geforce 9600m GT is similar to and performs the same as a desktop...

Decent at gaming. Able to multitask. Price after rebate was 700 dollars. On the fly power settings and overclocking. Light weight. Brushed aluminum is sexy. Magnetic latch is a nice touch. 3 year warranty

Keyboard feels a little awkward and slightly mushy at first. Average resolution. GPU is semi proprietary so you must rely on MSI for driver updates. The power supply brick is on the larger side. The air exhaust is on the right side making the heat blow...

Excellence beyond Excellence!

Didn't have space in cons, but the PageUp/PageDown keys double as Home and End, another funky keyboard quirk. Also, they keyboard kind of pops up and down on the right side, but that may just be my specific laptop.

Runs like a dream, easily beats many $1200 laptops. Cheap, comes with an automatic overclock (the Turbo button). Touch interface buttons a very nice touch. Full keyboard with number pad is nice as well. I have personally tested this laptop with Fallout...

KEYBOARD LAYOUT! This is easily the biggest and most easily noticed flaw. The keyboard layout is flat-out dumb. There are 2 \| buttons...One above the enter key where it belongs and another one right beside the spacebar for some reason. The left...
