Great general use, ok entry-level gaming

Good GPU for the money, handles World of Warcraft very well & more than adequate for general multimedia entertainment - which is why we got it. Built-in wireless, bluetooth and a good webcam + software for each. Great value for the money + rebate

Overall, well satisfied

The bluetooth screen that appears at startup can be easily removed by taking the application out of the startup folder. Also, you may want o use soluto to remove any other things slowly your startup.

After many weeks of looking for a laptop, I finally decided on MSI. Although a relatively new player for laptops, this cpu really competes well. The speed is nice. Compared to HP and Dell, there is only a minimal amount of bloatware. The materials may...

The Windows 7 32 bit system. Most cpus offer 64 bit. There is no disk but the recovery is in the partition. The trackpad is super sensitive and the drivers to control it are not included. You can find it buy searching for "msi wind trackpad driving me...

Died on me

Came exactly as advertised. Reasonably priced

The laptop died on me the first day. I believe the power supply shorted out. RMAed it and I hope this was a fluke, and the new one I receive holds out. The construction is really cheap, looks like something you really need to take care of

Excellent value for the money!

- So far all is working well and have no complaints. I like it! - Seems to be good support available online from MicroStar. Watch when checking for driver updates online at the MSI site; one update suggested through the provided MSI utility was older...

Discrete Radeon graphics with 512MB. This was one of the main selling points for me. Not your ultimate gaming laptop, but respectable performance as video doesn't steal from system RAM ; Clear, well lit, 16 inch WXGA display ; WIN 7 Experience rating...

4GB of RAM and a 32 bit Windows 7 OS so only 3GB accessible. At some point I'll upgrade to a 64 bit OS. At least I won't have to replace the RAM. If there had been a 64 bit OS provided I would have rated this laptop a 5

Good features

Everything else good so far other than the webcam, which was a huge letdown...

Great features and bang for the buck

Webcam would not power on and was DOA-not present in Device Manager. Checked and reseated webcam cable. No change. Needed laptop for immediate business use, so opted to purchase usb webcam

I'm extremely satisfied. If you're considering HP or Dell (especially HP as I was) this is a great alternative. A Hidden gem.

16" inch screen, touch-bar for gaming, music, turbo boost etc. Nice speed, windows 7 installed. Great value for the price

Finger- print heaven, blue tooth app keeps asking me to set up connection but there was no blue tooth initiated

Great promotion for a great laptop!

Received within 2 days - just in time for my girlfriends birthday - she's been wanting a new laptop for ages. Kudos to newegg. I really recommend this laptop to others at the $499 price-point. I really don't think you're going to get anything better....

Very quiet and never gets too hot - the hot air expels from the back of the laptop away from the body ; Seems to play most games; I've tested Sims 3 and Mass Effect so far and I've been pleasantly surprised ; Came with very little bloat-ware, including...

Minor confusion/gripe with blue-tooth software. It said on the box "no-blue tooth" I'm not sure if that meant, its incapable of using blue tooth altogether or it doesn't have the necessary equipment to do so. The software is installed regardless of...

Good Deal!

The hard-drive will come with 4 partitions; two are hidden recovery partitions, one 10gig and one 100mb. I used Linux to repartition it to 150gb/150gb and downloaded a Win7 ISO to reinstall everything. Why MS won't let them include a install disc is...

Dedicated Graphics for the price of an integrated graphics laptop ; Touch sensor keys to dim screen, disable webcam, disable wireless, and has one user defined shortcut ; Touch pad buttons click with ease ; Touch pad can be disabled ; Bright screen,...

Windows 7 (MS OS's keep getting worse) ; Very awkward keyboard layout ; Odd USB and LAN locations ; Webcam angle is a bit low (or screen is tipped to much) ; 6 cell battery (not sure how long it last) ; No 10 cent Windows install disk included ; A...

Does the job

The computer was a little longer than I expected. For some reason, MSI decided to add in an extra "\" key next to the spacebar, which may get annoying sometimes. The keyboard itself may need some time getting from a normal laptop keyboard without the...

Decent graphics card... will run most modern games on default settings. The included subwoofer makes for enjoyable video and audio experiences, and the fingerprint reader lets your easily log on to your laptop ; The laptop itself runs surprisingly...

ATI cards don't exactly have the best drivers in the world, but that's not too much of a con, nor is the system's use of Windows 32-bit even though it has 4GB of RAM. However, the touchpad is quite sensitive and typing without locking it may cause some...
