MSI MSI Wind U123-003US

It's been a year since the Wind U100, the "big" sibling to the MSI Wind U123, came out--and the similarities between the two netbooks are eerie. Both run Windows XP Home Edition, and both carry 1GB of RAM, a Webcam and mic, and essentially everything...

Good battery life ; Nice design

Slightly cramped keyboard ; Obnoxious mouse buttons

MSI's second Wind (netbook, that is) gives more of the same: Decent performance, value and a hackable Mac OS X box.

MSI Wind U123 (003US)

The Wind U123 boasts the biggest battery in a netbook, but everything else is just middle of the road.

Long, long battery life. Comfortable mouse buttons.

Huge battery is unsightly. Design is boring. Features lack differentiation. Performance scores should've been much better.

MSI Wind U123

MSI's latest venture into the netbook market offers slightly faster performance than the rest of the netbooks we've tested with much longer battery life to boot, but the nine-cell battery that makes that possible sends the MSI Wind U123 into the...

Fastest, longest-lasting netbook we've yet tested; bright screen; comfortable keyboard

Battery adds bulk; Function & Ctrl keys reversed; upgrading could be easier

If you don't mind a bit of junk in the trunk, the Wind U123's nine-cell battery will fast win you over

Review of MSI Wind U123

When MSI released the U120, we didn't expect there would be an upgraded version but here it is, the MSI Wind U123. The most important upgrade in the U123 is the Intel Atom N280 CPU. This netbook can now also …

The MSI Wind U123 is the updated version of MSI’s U120 with a better processor and longer battery life. Priced at $379, this netbook gets a must-buy from us.

MSI Wind U123T netbook

MSI's Wind U123T is the perfect netbook for the TV junkie

Relatively cool and quiet during use, good touchpad, integrated digital TV tuner, face recognition login

Small comma, period and slash keys; no manual switch for wireless radios; poor balance; short battery life

The MSI Wind U123T is a fine netbook for travellers, students and TV junkies. It ships with a digital TV tuner that lets you record programs onto the netbook and then watch them while on the road. It's also useful for typing documents, viewing photos...

MSI Wind U123 review

Both run Windows XP Home Edition, and both carry 1GB of RAM, a webcam and mic, and in essence everything else, except the MSI Wind U123 features a bulbous nine-cell battery and the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280 processor (versus the U100's N270 CPU). In...

In the end, the MSI Wind U123 will receive compliments on its sleek looks from coffee-shop hipsters. After all, the U123's exterior is eye-catching - even sexy, considering the glossy deep-blue finish of our review model. Look a little closer, however,...

Very nice unit

Really nice unit with insane battery life thanks to the huge 9 cell included. Also was able to successfully run a dual boot Windows XP / OSX install on this. System also allows for upgrading to 2 GB of RAM, which I did and I also replaced the 5400 RPM...

MSI Wind U123-025US Ruby Red Intel Atom N280(1.66GHz) 10.2" WSVGA 1GB Memory 160GB HDD Netbook

I have another older model which has worked great too (U100 I believe).

Light, fast enough, long battery life. Comes with a nice case

Loaded with unnecessary software. Was very slow until I reinstalled Windows 7. After the fresh install it runs great ; Also, when it first arrived the internal fan wasn't working. It would overheat and shut off. I RMA'd it to MSI and they had it back...

So Light!

Over-all this unit is awesome. I love that it does everything I need in the field and is so small and lightweight, no more dragging a 10lb beast around. Got a second one for the kitchen (slides right in with the cookbooks).

Unbelievably lightweight, connects to almost any network anywhere with realitive ease. 9+ hours of battery time with larger battery. Runs Office 2007 including project and access with little to no lag even with only 1GB Ram. Nice grab-n-go, runs on Car...

Biggest con, the battery locks are extremely weak and the battery slips out way to easily, so if you're working on battery make sure your auto save is set, because it's a matter of if the battery is going to come loose but when. At least with the...
