ASUS is amazing

I emailed ASUS about making nice high end laptops with AMD to compete with XPS and other desktop replacements and i received a good prompt response, i am a huge AMD fan and ASUS won me years ago!

ASUS+AMD all i did was add high-end memory

bloat-ware low clock on the CPU

A strong dissapointment

The lights on the side when in sleep mode will flash brightly and it is rather annoying. Asus also makes you pay for the packing to their repair shop through fedex which costs a good 20 bucks, plus they use the slowest means of shipping. Last repair...

Sleek, relatively slender, soft touch keyboard, great speeds (when it wants) and great picture quality

I bought this thing back in December and within the last 7 months I've had to return this thing twice and now I'll struggle with my third time. First my speakers went out on me and then my hard drive had critical errors in it. When I sent in my...

Great Value

Gave it 5 stars. Cons really just a nuisance really and not worth removing a full star. Got this for my wife, who uses it for video/picture editing, and it has worked beautifully. good little gaming system as well. SC2 plays quite nicely on this....

Great Value for money ($750 USD) ; CPU/Graphics ; Nice looking design

LOTS of bloat! None of it useful ; Battery life not so great ; Took too long to create the 5 backup DVDs ; No Copy of Win 7

Started off good...

Started off well enough, in the 2 weeks I was waiting for my software package to arrive (not from newegg) I ran Empire and Napoleon Total War just under max settings. A couple of hiccups here and there while playing but I'd not really had time to clean...

Sleek, unique styling (looks like a chocolate/merlot carbon graphite color, wedge shape, not a trendy-for-the-moment/my-parents-bought-it-because-I-told-them-everyone-in-my-class-had-one Iclone) ; great size ; hinge almost too sturdy (one handed...

Hours must be spent making 5 backup dvds ; Very deep power socket, shudder to think what will happen when a jerk snags the cord ; Memory module error, BSOD, occurs so fast I'm not able to get the error details

ASUStounding

Pretty power light, it matches the lights on the side

First of all, I got this when it was $200 off of the normal price, so I feel like I got pretty lucky ; This is a great laptop. It works excellent for anything I want to do on it, nice sized screen, looks clean, not an excess amount of shortcut buttons...

I have a few things to complain about, but the pros outweigh the cons so I still give this 5 eggs ; First, the battery life isn't out-of-this world but it's expected, I get about 2 hours out of a charge ; Secondly, the arrow keys are easy to confuse...

Amazing

I was amazed at what this laptop can do. Was a very good investment.

The the CPU & Graphic card combo is amazing for the price. I'm able to play sc2 on high settings. Solid mid lvl gaming system. I like the keyboard and the design is also a plus. Stays very cool and extremely quite. Downloading Dead Space 2 and cant...

Battery life isn't all that great. It will last about 3 hours in class taking notes. A lot of junk to get rid of on install but some programs are worth having

Was excited

Good for the price, I just may have gotten a bad card.

Quick start up, Responsive, Nice keyboard

ati graphics card. Already RMAing the thing for service. Pixelation and poor graphic card performance. Keyboard is nice but a little oddly layed out. and feels slightly squishy. Too much bloatware

Stop crying

Im an engineering student and I'd say that this thing will definetly suit my purposes without a doubt. I was looking for the graphical power to do what I need to do (mainly biocomputational applications with a lot of graphical rendering involved). The...

I don't see what everyone is complaining about - I have had none such errors that have been mentioned with this laptop. The network card really hasn't missed a beat, it stays at a nice ambient temperature even under stressed situations (MATLAB...

The battery life is annoying (2.5 hours max, aka useless). I have had a BSOD problem a few times throughout the duration of my ownership so far. It was a typical Driver IRQL tcp error which basically is usually always a driver error. Updated the WLAN...

Smart Notebook, Smart You

Sometimes I catch myself marveling at the slickness of this laptop. It just looks that good. As a previous reviewer said, 8 gigs of ram really does make this laptop sing! I recommend the upgrade for gaming.

750 ; Deceptively light. Looks like a standard sized laptop, feels light as a feather ; Sleek look. The thing is sexy. With this thing, girls will want to sit next to you in the library. Well, maybe not. I also like the rubber/matte style of the area...

Bloatware, plenty of it ; Weird partitions (80 gigs OS.. why?) ; No copy of Windows 7. You'll be prompted to burn a backup upon booting, an annoying 5 dvd process for sure, especially since we aren't notified of this prior to purchase (Newegg, if...

Very good gaming laptop!!!

Great gaming laptop for price. Listen to the other user reviews they've said everything else.

I bought this laptop while it was 750USD, and it came with free shipping. Plays StarCraft 2 on high settings, 'nuff said ; Im extremely happy with the performance of this laptop and hopefully ill be able to report back when i've used this for a couple...

All of this useless software, really the only thing I kept was the face recognition log in, which is awesome. Seriously it came with alot of unwanted app's took most of the night to uninstall and clean up left over files. Con - Too much bloatware
