Review Asus N53SN (X5MSN) Notebook

Graphics update. The Taiwanese company Asus sends a familiar multimedia laptop with the new GT 550M graphics from Nvidia and Intel's Core i7-2630QM called N53SN-SX091V (X5MSN) into the race. We've checked the all-rounder's qualities, which is now...

Appealing design and workmanship, Good connectivity (BluRay), Stable case and extendability, Convincing office performance, Good 3D performance (GT 550M), Quiet cooling system in idle, Always cool surfaces, High-end speakers including software, The...

Interfaces mainly in the front area, Glossy display with a low resolution, Average display measuring rates, Fan runs permanently, Short battery runtimes, A better interface positioning, a higher quality display in this price range and a fan that...

Asus N53SN Review

A powerful feature rich multimedia notebook

Sturdy build quality, great performance, powerful components, USB 3.0, decently priced, good bundle, decent battery life, speakers sound good for certain music genres

Trackpad gets in the way while typing, SonicMaster program doesn't work well all the time, no backlit keys

Get this is you know you want the HI DEF screen AND KNOW exactly what it look like!

I bought this for the hi res screen to play game. Big disappointment in this area, as the hi res isn't that great in game, I should've stick with lower res cousin of this model ; Everything works great except read below

Screen, Resolution is higher than I expected, web browsing experience is horrible, tiny texts and blank spaces

Nothing comes free

This is the third Asus laptop I've bought in the last three or four years. They started out lightly loaded but seem to have jumped on the bloatware bandwagon.

Good process, video, sound. Love the monitor - crisp, clear, and at a very good resolution. Video adapter very nice. Best of all, this thing runs cool and quite

Bloat-ware - and this is where the (relatively) budget price is offset. There's so much bloat-ware that it has a significant impact on system startup, system shutdown, and day to day operation. Trying to uninstall all of it is an exercise in futility....

Darn good.

So far I've tried to play Minecraft and Skyrim. Skyrim plays on high settings very well and Minecraft generates worlds quickly.

Anti-Fingerprint cover ; Large hard drive ; Full keyboard ; Nice webcam ; 1950x1080 display ; It runs super cool

The speakers are pretty bad when the volume is loud ; The screen plate is made of shiny plastic that shows finger prints ; The keyboard is a bit odd to type on, but it'll be easy to get used to ; To scroll you need to enable the feature and use two...

Connectivity problems

Maybe I got a one off bad product. I can't really tell.

Solid build, except for the keyboard ; Decent speakers ; High screen resolution

The touchpad is awful. Sometimes it just does not register any interaction with my fingers as if I am wearing gloves over my hands ; CONNECTIVITY! Sometimes my connection is just gone after a few minutes of use. No matter if I wired or wireless,...

Overall Great Laptop

I think it deserve more than 3 eggs. I haven't seen any major problem or defect in the other reviews except one review. This product overall is great. If you so picky about the layought and design you may consider something else. This laptop in my...

It has been over a year now since I owned it and it it is still at te same condition. one thing I changed which is the Hdd I replaced it with Intell's SSD 120GB ; 1- runs cool ; 2- solid feeling as if it is new. The screen base or bundle or what ever...

There is nothing major to be considered, but here are some of my marks ; 1- As previusly said in others comment you dont have a full control of what you could run on GPU. there is a manuall option to choose programs to run over GPU but it dosen't work...

Very satisfied with amazing specs

Overall this computer is great for anyone that uses a laptop constantly for work/school and wanting to do medium to heavy gaming on the side. I would suggest a cheaper laptop if you're only interested in light gaming. For watching movies and other...

i5 2410m (turbo up to 2.9) ; GT 550m, most 15.6 inch i've seen around here rock the 540m. The GT 550m is an amazing graphics card which I overclocked to around 900 Ghz ; The design is lightweight to medium weight for a 15 inch, yet leaving enough...

Even though the flexing of the keyboard is minimum (it feels pretty solid), I do not prefer the layout. They should have left out the Numpad, since the keys on it are very small and it would have allowed more space between the main keys ; The volume...
