Excellent Sidekick Computer 4 Musicmakin

The 250GB HD size limit does not raise compatibility issues, however down the line i would not overlook the possibility of overheating with a bigger than recommended size-that's really just speculation tho. Has an SD card slot that is bootable-nice...

After a little more than week since my initial receipt of this netbook, I am very happy with its overall performance and the experience I have had with it so far. I have installed a 320GB Hitachi hard drive and 2GB of G skill RAM. I have gotten a dual...

My only worry at this point is overheating down the line since I am pushing this baby consistently harder than its supposed to. I can't give exact heat stats as the sensors in the neutrino will never show up in any SL based heat monitor app. That said,...

The price point weighs a little better if you take advantage of purposefully over-complicated and strict process of the mail-in rebate. I tested streaming--ustream works fabulous through it. Using a firewire expresscard. Test e-sata/usb expresscard as...

Manufacturer Warranty ; PartsLifetime limited ; LaborLifetime limited ; Really?? I can't wait to take advantage of this. Every other last netbook only has 1 year warranties. Total deal maker ; Additional pluses include one ; of best Atom's out ; screen...

price isn't too bad, but pushes it (with added components) a bit higher priced than other notebook solutions ; battery life sucks compared to other netbooks. they are supposed to have a higher capacity optional battery available and it's not; the...

A Great Netbook

The gloss finish does show fingerprints/usage.

Placed a 128 GSKILL SSD, 2GB OCZ PC-6400, and loaded Ubuntu on it (full version). Works Like A Champ ; I would buy this again, and likely will for others. Fast, easy, and well built

Snow Leopard Compatibility is Excellent

The NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 package has proved to be easier, and more compatible than earlier installation methods for 10.5 on this and other Netbooks, some of which require a significant knowledge of TERMINAL and other low-level...

Installation of MacOS 10.6 using an 8 GB USB flash card and the NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 method went without a hitch, after I first reinitialized the hard drive. Installing over an existing 10.5.8 system was not productive and resulted in a KP....

10.6 has issues with Bonjour, for printing, but this is not solely associated with this Netbook. Each of my 10.6 desktops has the same issue. 10.5 is supported by the installer, so that would be a possible fallback position for those Netbook users who...

Looking for a sweet netbook, I'd give this one a try.

Had the neutrino 3 weeks and it's awesome! Putting it together was a breeze, loaded the OS, I installed Ubuntu Remix, and started surfing and using it, in less than two hours. The keyboard fits my fingers, touch pad is a bit tricky. Overall I recommend...

I want to get the 3g modem, it last me over 1 hr on battery while using external hard drive and watching movies

it has bluetooth built in, screen is bright and clear, audio is good, it feels solid. i used DDR 2 800 stick of ram and a western digital 320 gig hard drive

it showed me how outdated my desktop was

Most versatile netbook on the market

- Runs very smoothly with Windows FLP. - 7200 RPM 2.5" hard drives do work just fine, despite OCZ's statement that 5400 RPM or lower drives are required. - Keyboard and trackpad are small, but quite usable. I did have to set the trackpad to ignore...

A great way to make use of spare notebook parts ; Highly expandable/upgradeable: 34mm Express-card slot and an empty mini-PCI slot pre-wired with a spare built-in antenna are unique in the netbook market ; Great display, for it's size. Matte-finish...

Not a good value unless you've got a spare notebook drive and RAM module on hand. If you're buying a drive and RAM for it, a complete netbook from another brand will probably be cheaper ; At less than three hours, battery life is quite short, for a...

AMAZING FIND, and I might order another.

I got super lucky here. My gaming 17" laptop. with Nvidia graphics, and Vista Home Premium just bit the dust, (video hardware lines on POST) and I removed the 100Gig SATA hdd, and installed it in the netbook along with a 2Gig memory chip. It allowed me...

Price is okay, but to make use of spare parts, no brainer here. Matte screen is super nice too

Battery life wasn't close to the 3 hours, but might approach it with less applications that make cpu & vid. work harder. There might be a keyboard issue too, once or twice, I pressed the "N" key, sort of felt not as level as others

Lots of features

Picked up the Sierra mini pci-e 3.5g WWAN card cheap. The AT&T 875u & 881u 3.5g adapter has the little mini pci-e card hidden inside. Remove 4 screws and snap the 881u's case apart and you have your mini pci-e to install in the Neutrino. 500gb drive...

Nice size, decent price, includes lot of extras. Decent speed running WinXP or Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04 ; Includes Bluetooth on-board and 3.5G WWAN mini pci-e slot with antennas pre-installed, which Newegg didn't list ; Supports up to a 500gb 5400rpm...

Brightness Fn F8/F9 keys don't work in Ubuntu Netbook Remix, all others do (ie: sound, WWAN). Smallish 4 cell battery (OCZ has annouced a 6 cell will be released in May 2009) ; Not much in the way of information about this little machine

Threw in a 30 GB OCZ Vertex SSD, installed Windows 7 RC, up and running in <15 min. Incredible performance for $. Wanted a netbook for portability and wanted to throw in an SSD for battery life and speed, so this was a great fit since I didn't have...

Nice screen ; Great value for 10" netbook w/webcam ; ExpressCard expansion Slot ; WiMax ready ; Good battery life ; Nicely designed touchpad

A tad thick in comparison to other netbooks ; Glossy top a fingerprint magnet ; Documentation rather brief
