Razer Blade Pro Review

We review Razer's Blade Pro gaming laptop which features a 17.3-inch display, Intel Core i7 and more.

liked its LCD trackpad, that is, once we got used to its unorthodox location.

Razer Blade Pro Review

Slim, sexy design; Innovative secondary screen ; Switchblade UI has been expanded to use more creative professional apps; Solid graphics and overall performance; Excellent battery life

Runs hot when gaming; A tad expensive

The Razer Blade Pro retains its sleek design and adds a new, improved Switchblade UI for gamers and creative professionals.

2014 Razer Blade Pro review: Only slightly better than last-year's model

While it is thinner and lighter than competing 17-inch gaming notebooks, the Blade Pro is also less powerful.

Gorgeous aluminum chassis ; Relatively thin and light for a 17-inch gaming laptop ; Innovative SwitchBlade UI (when it works)

The SwitchBlade touchscreen exhibits too much friction to be a good trackpad ; Middle-of-the-road performance ; Only incremental component upgrades from the 2013 model

The 2014 Razer Blade Pro is overshadowed by its smaller compatriot, the 14-inch Razer Blade; but its attractive price-to-performance ratio renders it worthy of consideration.

Razer Blade Pro Review

Not user upgradeable ; Fans could be quieter ; Lack of ports ; Expensive

The Razer Blade Pro is an innovative high quality entry into the gaming notebook market. This 17.3″ notebook is impressively thin (0.88″) and lightweight (6.58 lbs.). Its all-aluminum chassis is both strong and well designed. The most unique aspect of...

The Razer Blade Pro is thin, but is it gaming nirvana?

More portable than its rivals ; Generally understated design ; Gorgeous screen

Last-gen wireless technology ; Non-standard trackpad position ; No card reader

Razer Blade Pro review

Razer's signature gaming laptop has been redesigned for more power with no loss of portability

Extremely fast ; Thin and light ; Snappy aesthetics ; Great battery life ; Above average audio

Super expensive ; Stiff keyboard ; Flimsy mouse buttons ; No Blu-Ray player

From top to bottom, the Razer Blade is a very well-thought out design, and is a joy to use on a day to day basis. It's hard to imagine porting around a 17-inch laptop, but at only a little under 7 pounds all-in and with surprisingly stellar battery...
