Benchmark Check: Alan Wake in Review

Afraid of the dark? Around nine months after the Xbox 360 version, Remedy releases the mystery thriller Alan Wake once more, this time for the PC. We have tested whether the technology can keep up with the competition and how demanding the game is on...

With exception of the UL50VF (ForceWare 295.51) and the Xesia M501 (ForceWare 285.90) in each case we used the ForceWare 285.62 and the Catalyst 12.1 respectively as GPU drivers

Review Samsung 300E5A-S01 Notebook

Is a little more OK? The Samsung 300E5A wants to stand out with h

Very long battery runtimes; Dedicated Nvidia graphics card; Good application performance; Matt screen surface; Low temperature development

No USB 3.0; High power consumption and slight throttling; Inferior TN screen with poor illumination

Classic Office notebooks, such as the Asus Pro P53E or the Samsung E3520, score with their low price and at the same time good application performance. Users who need higher reserves in the 3D field could be attracted by models like the Dell Vostro...

Samsung NP300E5A-A01UB

A 15.6-inch widescreen (1,366-by-768 resolution) means that text and content can be displayed bigger and brighter, so that a child or an elderly person won't have to squint at it. It's large enough that you can tile two applications side by side and...

Very affordable. Core i3 processor included. 640GB of storage. Wireless Display 2.0 onboard. Very lightweight. Good battery life

Conservative design. Loud mouse buttons

The Samsung NP300E5A-A01UB's performance, battery life, and features set is worth more than the price tag would indicate..If your budget is severely restricted to very inexpensive laptops, then the NP300E5A-A01UB is certainly worth a gander.

Samsung NP300E5A-A01DX review

The touchpad is large and comfortable, and the keyboard is pleasant to type on. It isn't the best, but it is very usable and we had no complaints.

The Samsung Series 3 300E5A is a relatively inexpensive laptop and its price ought to mean a fair few cut corners. In fact, Samsung has made cuts in appropriate places except where the screen is concerned and even that will be fine if your needs don’t...

Samsung 300E5A review

Samsung's latest entry-level laptop might not look all that different if you're familiar with the other models in its line-up – the 3 series uses an almost identical chassis to the older RV-series laptops we looked at last year, with a few minor tweaks...

This entry-level laptop is a competent all-rounder at a good price

Samsung Series 3 NP300E5A 15in notebook

Review Samsung's NP300E5A-A01DX is the Core i3 model in its Series 3 family of notebooks and is priced accordingly, at around £400. Unashamedly aimed at the cost conscious end of market it has plenty of company including Acer's Aspire 5749 [1] that Reg...
