Expert Review

The Samsung NP305E5Z-S01IN has been crafted as a perfect matrimony between contemporary designing and a power-packed performance, and is irrefutably bound to be a smashing hit with style-savvy end-users scouting for a moderately priced mean machine!

Bought this for the girlfriend for christmas. Spoiled right? She liked it, she also liked saying "quad core with 8 gigs of ram" Now she might understand when i buy the FX-8350

Works well ; Has nice specs for the price ; Missing a few things but at this price point its hard to beat

Held back by slower HDD. Ram was 1 stick so thats a huge pro, had a matching stick same day. It may or may not have improved performance ; Lacks USB 3.0 ; SSD will for sure

More Advice

Finding a notebook with Win 7 (any version) on it is getting a bit difficult so slamming a manufacturer like one reviewer has, is silly. Especially when they reformatted the hard drive and installed something else ; Honestly, there is no way the writer...

Pretty great for the price

As an aside, I remember people recommending upgrading the ram to really see a boost in performance, which I did, but I haven't noticed a difference at all. Not sure who to blame, perhaps my own misunderstanding.

For the low cost, you get the performance of a nice mid-tier laptop, and a 15" screen. Runs most things without a hitch. I'm a gamer with a budget, so it made me happy I could run L4D2 smoothly (though load time in between levels can be long), and even...

The bumpers on the screen that keep it from squishing closed too tightly don't seem to do anything. Every time I open my laptop, I have keyboard prints all over the screen. I also have marks along the bezel and near the track pad where they touched...

Good Value

Great value in a basic laptop. Speedy, all accessories that most would use. Good wireless connection as well as wired. Clear and sharp LCD with no bad pixels

None found, other than the usual bloatware, and the constant updates they look for

Unstable/ Poor RMA response/

Given laptop being a present, unstable condition and ify price i decided to return for refund. Turned out that newegg does not provide full refunds on the items that has been opened, more than that they said it was working fine. I do believe them, but...

Good price, nice keys, ok performance

I bought that laptop as a present and tested it for a bit streaming some videos on. Soon it started to reboot on its own every 30 minutes or so

Also got an extra 4gig of ram (brought the windows RAM rating up to 7.3). These APUs run rock solid and have read about lots decent overclocks (wont risk til warranty expires). For $370 its a great value. If the price goes back up to $450 wait a week...

Got this to replace my Compaq CQ57 (was all I could afford at the time). It performs much better than I had expected. I have had laptops that ran very hot, but this one isn’t bad in that department. It multi tasks extremely well. I ran a prime95...

No USB 3.0

Brother said it's what he needed

I got this for my brother who lives 3000 miles away. Step below my Intel I5 in processor speed but everything else is equal. Took a while to find him something within his budget.
