Samsung Series 9 NP900X1A (11.6-inch)

Just as the original 13-inch Samsung Series 9 laptop was a direct shot across the bow of the 13-inch MacBook Air, this new 11.6-inch version is aimed squarely at the smaller version of the Air. The 11.6-inch Series 9 is so similar to the 13-inch...

The 11.6-inch Samsung Series 9 has the same thin, stylish, sturdy design as the 13-inch version, along with a backlit keyboard.

The 11.6-inch Series 9 is more expensive and has shorter battery life than the similar 11.6-inch MacBook Air.

The smaller, 11.6-inch version of Samsung's excellent Series 9 laptop is thin and light, and has a few features the MacBook Air lacks, but it's more expensive and doesn't trump the competition where it counts.

"Fantastic machine now at half the price of a mac air"

Great little sturdy machine that feels good and solid, once its setup to your tastes a joy to work with. Havent had any wi-fi issues as of late, then again i might have an updated model;4 gig hard drive as opposed to the regular 2 and 128 gig ssd as...

Portability

Ultra sensitive touchpad

"A super slick notebook, very happy with purchase."

Fortunately, i had not issues with wi-fi. I use mostly for word processing and occasional surfing and love the design. I'm also getting pretty decent battery life too, better than i had expected.

A lot on envious stares at the coffee shop.

A bit pricey but well worth it.

Everything except Internet!

This laptop is awesome in so many ways. looks, speed, size, finish. Everything except the ability to go online. If I did not need the Internet with it, no problem... but really, who on earth buys an ultraportable without the need for Internet? I am...

Style! very slick ; Matte monitor is awesome ; fast

WIFI is soooo bad. This is a very serious issue. I can barely maintain a connection. Most of the time, 56k modems are faster. It's not just slow, but nearly impossible to keep a good enough connection to actually transfer (up or down) a large file ; T

"Wifi is absolutely useless."

Dont.

Looks nice. The screen is wonderful - works great outside.

You cannot use the wifi unless you are next to the router. That makes it pretty amazingly annoying.

Great alternative, price is an issue

THis is a fantastic machine. It would be great if it were a little cheaper though for you aren't getting as much as you could. There are some other PC options out there that give better specs but not this slim desighn.

Battery, Screen quality, SIze, Weight

Price is a little high
