Does what it's supposed to.

 

Put it in a Patriot Box Office Core and it works perfectly.

Full speed drive, has about the same speed as a standard desktop drive. No idea about power consumption because I have it in a media player

Price, but the shortage explains it, so I was expecting it at the time

Good Quality Drive. Used to replace a failing hard drive in a toshiba 18.4 " laptop. Windows 7 is running smoothly ; Got it for $65 Shipped. Good Value. No issues to this day

Samsung Spinpoint HM500JJ

 

Stay FAR away from Samsung HDDs. Horrible! WD / Seagate.

It works, for about a month or two

The first drive failed after a couple of months. The drive was replaced by Newegg (thank you), as Samsung was unresponsive in getting it replaced. This is the second drive I have an issue with. It is failing the SMART Test, and will not boot to Win 7 OS

Windows Experience Index my Laptop Hard drive went from 5.7 to 5.9 when I replaced my WD Blue 5400 RPM drive with this Samsung 7200RBM drive. Meh.
