samsung rules

great samsung laptop if you are looking for an ultraportable machine, the only thing is it does not have a dvd drive, but who uses a dinosaur time dvd drive these days when everything is online!

i really appreciate Samsung for taking time to design this laptop ; they put enough time on designing this laptop because if you compare this to another laptop worth in the same range, you would see it... bet it the slim bezel, utilization of space,...

Solid performer

Initially I was debating if I want to go for 14" or 12.1" laptop but glad I made the right choice, Samsung Series 3 350U2B is the sleek and light weight notebook and super performer. I am happy with webcam and speakers sound. What I like more about...

replacing battery or upgrade memory will not be easy

worth the money machine

sure, you can get a laptop with i5 under $500 these days, but you cannot get the same quality as this laptop's... this one is a great quality laptop and very understated machine.. which does its job very quick and nice...

great quality machine, the parts used are of great quality ; great processor ; hd 3000 is enough ; 4gb is enough too ; the track pad is good

none so far, wish the webcam was a bit more better, but its fine for me as it is

Update

Amazed that in this tiny box, I have more music production power than The Beatles had for Sgt. Pepper and than Brian Wilson did for Pet Sounds. :-)

It also runs SONAR X1 Producer and ProTools 9 or 10 with ease

My Portable Digital Audio Workstation

I thought long and hard about what Laptop I was going to use for my Portable DAW...and this won out. This is the first computer that I have had that I am not looking for hot rod tricks for...it runs just fine right out of the box. This unit replaces a...

Sleek, elegant, fast, powerful, small, light, HDMI, sexy, and cool running. Quality build and a great matte screen. An ergonomic wonder. Everything is "where it belongs." Very nice keyboard and touchpad ; Even with 4Gb RAM, it still handles any audio...

The only thing I see that is lacking is a sleeve for it. Only has one RAM slot. SSD is somewhat difficult to install, if I do choose to buy one ; Only 2 USB slots...sure could use 4...to attach peripherals to, but I have a couple of powered hubs that...

Small footprint, huge screen

The listed cons are wish list items, not deal breakers. This Samsung is great indoors or outdoors and the performance is worth the price.

I was using a netbook with a 12.1" screen. The Samsung is lighter, quieter, cooler, orders of magnitude faster and has a matte screen that is noticeably larger with about the same footprint. Netflix in HD looks fantastic. Great battery life and super...

Only two usb ports, not 3.0, no LED light on caps lock key, and no dedicated home, end, page up & page down keys, battery not interchangeable, screen does not tilt back to 180 degrees

Added SSD, runs like a dream.

I bought this laptop to replace an MSI GE620 which was easily the worst of the 6 laptops I have previously owned. If you plan to replace the HDD with an SSD here are a few tips gleaned from my experience. I bought a Plextor PX-M2 128GB SSD from...

Light weight, portable, extremely fast with an SSD, attractive design and finish ; The software utilities included with this laptop are actually useful which is refreshing. Most software included with new systems are complete junk

The bottom is harder to remove than I would have liked. It would be better with access panels to the HDD and RAM

perfect ultra portable

i would not recommend uninstalling any of Samsung's software because many of these are very useful for the computer's working like the PowerPlus software which increase the battery life to 1000 RECHARGING CYCLES! Can you imagine that!?its like macbook!...

this is a great quality laptop! i would say the quality is equivalent to apple comps ; no sound at all (none from fan or hdd) ; VERY FAST--- you name the program, it will open within milli-milli seconds even with hdd ; The screen is absolutely...

no cons so far... great computer

Solid Product for the Price

Samsung says in the manual that any tech work should be done by an approved technician and that the end user shouldn't do anything and don't offer any documentation on hardware replacement. Still, I managed to remove the backiing to replace the hard...

The 12.5" series 3 is a great combination of portability and power. At 12.5" its not bulky but large enough to offer a normal typing experience. With the dual core sandy bridge cpu, its competitive with previous gen desktop cpu's while offering the...

No removable battery. (though there are tradeoffs here in fit and finish) ; No instructions on how to replace the HD, RAM, wireless card etc ; Included hard drive is pretty slow, but par for the course in this price range ; Integrated graphics. Intel...
