Review Samsung 540U3C Ultrabook

That special touch. The Samsung Series 5 540U3C is the successor

Good mobility; Lightweight and compact dimensions; Bright touchscreen; Operating elements; Maintenance-friendly

Display hinges; Contrast and black values

The Samsung 540U3C has its own predecessor, the Samsung 530U3C, to compete with. But since the current price of the latter lies only about 70 Euros (~$91) beneath the new version, the pros of this review device prevail, for example the SSD and the...

Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch Review (13.3″)

Updated Mar. 8, 2013 @ 11:03 a.m. ET: We noticed an number of our benchmark tests were a little funny, so we ran them again and found there was a big enough difference to change our opinion of the UltraTouch […]

The price of the Series 5 UltraTouch might entice those of you who are curious to try an ultrabook equipped with a touchscreen as its $849.99 price tag is certainly lower than competing touchscreen ultrabooks, which typically range closer to $1,000....

Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch Review

With the Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch you've got one of the companies most solid deliveries of an Ultrabook-level computer upgraded with Windows 8 and a full 10-point touch display. With this notebook you're going to be working with 3rd Gen Intel Core...

The model we’ve reviewed here will cost you a cool $859.99 USD and is available everywhere fine Ultrabooks are sold. We’d recommend, as always, heading out to your local notebook dealer to see how this unit feels before picking one up for yourself....

Samsung Series 5 Ultra 540U3C (13.3" - Core i5 3317U - Windows 8 64-bit - 4 GB RAM - 500 GB HDD)

Windows 8 touch-screen laptops to date have largely fallen into two categories -- really high-end systems, from $1,200 to $1,600 or more, with slim, sexy designs; or else entry-level models that cram in a touch screen, but at the expense of design,...

With a slim, sturdy design and a powerful mainstream CPU, the touch-enabled Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch is a great sub-$900 13-inch Windows 8 machine.

Good thing it has a touch screen, because the touch pad is a bit jumpy. Performance is slower than that of similar Core i5 laptops.

Samsung's midprice Series 5 UltraTouch looks and feels like a more expensive machine, but keeps it simple by skipping the complex hybrid mechanics of so many new Windows 8 systems.

Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch NP540U3C-A01UB

The Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch NP540U3C-A01UB gives you a 13-inch ultrabook, married to a touch screen display and Microsoft's touch-friendly Windows 8 operating system. While it may not flip and fold like the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 , the Samsung...

Touch screen and Windows 8. Large 500GB hard drive with 24GB flash cache. Sturdy hinge

VGA output requires adapter dongle. No keyboard backlight. Flat sound from speakers

The Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch NP540U3C-A01UB is a solid touch-enabled ultrabook with decent performance and battery life.

Samsung Series 5 NP540U3C Ultrabook

"HORRIBLE construction & HORRIBLE customer service"

Purchased this notebook less than a year ago for basic home email access (sits on a desk - very little use) and after about six months the screen started to detach from the base. Every time I lift or adjust the screen, it pulls apart at the bottom...

Looks nice

Terrible construction and/or defective screen - Pulls apart from the base and sides have cracked open.

"Sleek, great touch screen, good for daily business"

Overall this laptop seemed like a bargain at below $700. The touch screen is excellent, the resolution seems perfect to me. Its slim and professional looking, seems to have a good amount of RAM, speed and memory and for a day to day business, road...

great touch screen interface, keypad easy to use, Microsoft touch operating system is very good, have not tested battery life yet, seems to be a good day to day business computer for those traveling often

has 2 USB ports, this laptop is very slim so I can see why they only have 2, battery lift seems to be low in general, 2+ hours, was hoping for something with 4+ hours, screen resolution seems fine to me

"Very nice product"

Very good, low price, battery life not that long, if have problem just contract your retail.

easy to setup

if you have problem when you start up from first time, try to update every thing. However, if you update all problem still that contract with your retail to exchange (Don't contract Samsung, they never admit they have defective product)
