Samsung 17-inch Series 7 Chronos (NP700Z7C-S01US)

The Samsung 17-inch Series 7 Chronos (NP700Z7C-S01US) desktop replacement laptop has a lot going for it and a decent amount of power.

Over six hours hours battery life. Good 3D performance. Quad-core Intel processor. Matte screen. Dual-band Wi-Fi. Numeric keypad.

Subwoofer distorts at loud volume. Annoying on-screen shelf tag. No Blu-ray.

Not Good

Graphics are excellent

One week out of the box, the mouse pad started to lock up. Sent PC back and was sent a different model. Took 3 weeks for total turnaround. Now I am fighting bluetooth issues. General tech support solution is to reinstall everything from the beginning....

Best Laptop I've Owned

Also, my interpretation of the warranty is that you can open the case as long as you do not damage anything, so replacing the HDD with a SSD would not in itself void the warranty. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/warranty/NP700Z7C-S02US

Great Laptop

Future plans are an SSD drive, move the primary drive to the DVD bay and ditch the optical drive. This will make the unit the perfect laptop.

Nice choice

best laptop I have bought...Only thing I would like is blu-ray. only bottle neck is hard drive speed of this thing, however 1TB dose ease it a little. This thing should be the last laptop I get for a while.

I run my laptop with with 2 27in monitors, dual band wireless adapter, 3tb ext hd, and other classified stuff.
