Samsung QX410 review

Just $799? Wait, really? Indeed, it's quite hard to grasp that the Samsung QX410 costs under $800, and when you hear about what you get for the money,

Very solid build with flush glass display ; Extremely comfortable chiclet keyboard ; Five hours of battery life

Lots of preloaded software ; Cumbersome port cover ; No Bluetooth

Samsung QX410

This aluminum-clad notebook packs in strong performance and battery life at an attractive price.

The Samsung QX410 ($799) is one stylish and fast laptop. It's not a graphics powerhouse, but it offers plenty of oomph for productivity and enough muscle for some light gaming on the side. The notebook's lengthy battery life and strong Wi-Fi...

Samsung QX410-J01 review: Samsung QX410-J01

Though the average person might not normally think of Samsung when it comes to laptops, that's likely to change if he sees this new favorite of ours. The electronics giant has a huge reputation in HDTVs, smartphones, and other gadgets, and its 2010...

High-end look and feel; good keyboard; large touch pad; Intel Wireless Display, Nvidia Optimus graphics switching; very affordable for the features.

Mediocre battery life; no Bluetooth; entry-level Nvidia GeForce graphics.

Slickly designed and amply featured, the Samsung QX410 looks and plays the part of a more expensive high-end laptop at a price that's a solid value.

Samsung QX410-J01

Had it not been for a glass layer, the 14-inch widescreen would have been as generic as plastic screens of the Asus U45Jc-A1, Gateway ID49C13u, and HP dm4-1160us. The glass layer helps make the color in photos and videos really pop. It's a feature...

Trendy, rugged aluminum design. Powerful Core i5 processor. Switchable graphics with a midrange Nvidia chip. Inexpensive. Equipped with Intel's WiDi and WiMax. Great battery life

Moody clickpad. Non-removable battery

The Samsung QX410 integrates cutting-edge features like a glass screen, the latest wireless technologies (Intel's WiDi and WiMax), and Nvidia's Optimus switchable graphics.

Samsung QX410-S02

The 14-inch widescreen is similar to that of the Asus U41JF-A1 and Gateway ID49C13u, except for the QX410-S02's glass layer. The glass layer, a feature seen in premium laptops like the HP Envy 14 and MacBook Pro 13-inch, offers a cleaner look and makes...

Trendy yet rugged aluminum design. Powerful Core i5 processor. Switchable graphics with a midrange Nvidia chip. Inexpensive. Equipped with Intel's Wireless Display and WiMax. Very good battery life

Moody clickpad. Non-removable battery. No Sandy Bridge

The Samsung QX410-S02 mainstream laptop is beautifully made and reasonably priced, but it's still in need of Intel's Sandy Bridge platform and a better clickpad.

This thin-and-light laptop has the looks, features, and performance to compete with the best in its class, and the price is very good. But the built-in battery could be a deal breaker.

Excellent productivity performance, Very good 3D throughput, aided by Nvidia Optimus, Sleek, modern design, Long battery life, Attractive price

Battery is not user-replaceable, One-piece touch pad/buttons take getting used to

"The best laptop I have had till today"

The best laptop I have had till today. It never broke down on me like HP, Sony, Compaq and other brands. I bought this laptop in September 2010 and I have been using this laptop for both home and work purpose. I have been running office, gis, and other...

Many models ship with a defective screen. The display suddenly splits into two parts, with a white vertical patch in the middle. Both halves display only the left side of the screen. If you connect it to an external monitor, it works fine. This problem...

Cheap given its specifications.

Many Samsung laptops come with a defective screen. See 'summary' section for more details

Attractive Aluminum casing.

Doesn't have blue ray or bluetooth. Both features should have been standard for the price of this laptop.

Great, I love my baby.

I a Computer nerd and this laptop was my first computer I bought, and it had everything I wanted/needed. It's small, light, and beautiful.

Great I love the dual video card, I mostly use the NVIDIA. I find it great for gaming, such WoW and League of Legends ; I also love have a built in WiMax Network adapter

According to my friends on Skype, the built in Microphone sounds like toilet flushing whenever the CPU fan is spinning really fast. and also the webcam is decent and there's a little bit of Bloatware
