Samsung R520 review

The Samsung R520 isn't a bad deal if you just want a laptop for running productivity software, but, if you're looking for a machine to use at home, the larger R720 is a much better all-rounder that costs only slightly more

Good keyboard ; Decent battery life

Images on the screen can look rather washed-out ; Weak 3D graphics capability

Conclusion Although it's £100 cheaper than the R720, the Samsung R520 isn't as desirable. It's not much more portable than its larger sibling and doesn't perform as well overall. That's not to say that this isn't a good-value laptop, but better...

If Samsung's intention for its R520 was to create a budget laptop that looks and feels like a much more expensive model, it's succeeded.

A stunning laptop for the price, Samsung's R520 has everything you need. If you're on a tight budget, this is the model to buy.
