Samsung R620 notebook

Samsung is known for its range of well-priced and well-made laptops, and the R620 is an affordable 16-inch media centre that sits towards the top of the company's range.

Well-made, stylish, great keyboard, Blu-ray and value for money

Glossy lid attracts prints and scratches, average 3D power

If you’re in the market for a multimedia laptop, you could do a lot worse than the R620. Well-made, attractive and with a good feature set for the money, it’s an impressive machine. Only its mediocre 3D performance lets it down, but at this price it’s...

Samsung R620 review

Along with Samsung's great design and build quality, the R620 includes a Blu-ray drive, making it much better value than anything else at this price.

Samsung R620 - 16.4in Blu-ray Laptop

A Blu-ray laptop for a non-Blu-ray laptop price - we like this.

There are some rough edges to the Samsung R620, particularly due its poor audio output, but with its Blu-ray drive, excellent balance of features and competent performance, it offers outstanding value if a Blu-ray laptop is high on your wish list.

Samsung R620

Samsung has developed a creditable habit of providing impossibly good specifications in its budget laptops, and the R620 is no exception. This laptop packs in not only a 16in screen, but also a Blu-ray drive - both surprising inclusions in such a...

Samsung's latest squeezes every last drop from its budget to include Blu-ray, dedicated graphics and a 16in panel

Samsung R620-FS02UK

Despite not having the greatest graphics card it has been flawless at playing blu-ray movies (connected to an HDTV at 1080p 24fps) ; With Windows 7 loaded it has been impresively quick ; Spacious keypad (and that's a qualified opinion as I have big hands)

Woefully short battery life even without having the optical disc drive going ; No oomph in the sound whatsoever from the speakers ; Very likeable design but fingerprints seem to breed on it
