Samsung R720 17.3in notebook

Great value 17in laptop, that's not averse to a bit of light gaming. Pity there's no 802.11n Wi-Fi though.

The 17.3in screen looks good and, despite Samsung's decision to go with a Pentium Dual Core processor, the R720 returned some decent benchmark scores. Perhaps most surprising was the 3D performance afforded by the Radeon HD 4330 graphics card. Yet...

Samsung - R720

With a price tag of £599, Samsung's R720 sits in the budget desktop replacement sector. Going by looks alone, though, it certainly doesn't come across as being a budget laptop. Open up the lid and you're ...

At £599, the Samsung R720 packs in a lot. Sure, the Pentium Dual Core processor might put some people off, but the fact is it really doesn't impact performance too much. And although the Radeon HD 4330 graphics card won't be up to high-resolution,...

Samsung R720-JS01UK

I use my Laptops as desktop replacements, and therefore this is what I had in mind when I purchased this one. To start off the processor speed and the RAM combined help to make it a very fast computer, it rarley struggles with any thing, and if it does...

This machine has 64-bit archetecture, but comes with 32-bit. I think this was probably to make it compatable with older devices which don't 64-bit drivers, however, this means that only 3 of the four gigs of ram is seen by the O.S. Another issue is...

Crisp and clean video - nice bright screen. Starts up quickly.

The machine is a 64 bit machine - why did they come supplied with 32 bit software?

Samsung R720-PS02UK

Great laptop, large bright screen. Instant connectivity across the board. Multitouch mousepad an good unexpected feature.

Preloaded with Win 7 32 bit, even though the processor is 64bit capable. (NOTE: 64bit installation is possible and drivers are avaiable on Samsung website. No problems since the reinstall)
