Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook

What do you do on your laptop? Surf the web, write documents, watch a bit of video? Yeah, we thought so. Despite having machines that are capable of incredible things, laptops that have enough computing power to achieve almost anything you can imagine....

Simple enough for anyone to use, stable, secure, some good web apps are available, Google's services are very well integrated and useful

Not that fast, horribly over-priced, too limited for most users, to heavy, limited file support

There's not much wrong with the Chromebook hardware. It's actually a pretty decent machine, it has better connectivity than most Ultrabooks and is certainly a lot cheaper. That said, it's not as powerful as a normal laptop - many costing little more...

Officially speaking, the Samsung Series 9 laptop is not an Ultrabook - at least, Samsung has chosen not to call it one much like Apple hasn't bothered

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook

The idea of the laptop is that it is your mobile office. Everything that the computer at the desk offers you on the go, be it your files, the web, email, or more, repackaged in a handy portable parcel. Samsung has kept up its side of the bargain here...

Lightweight, easy to use, SD card reader, big trackpad, comfy keyboard

Needs to be online to work, expensive compared to PC with more features, some flex in the screen

Samsung has kept up its side of the bargain here creating a well-built laptop for the price. Yes the screen has masses amounts of flex in it, but the keyboard is nice to use and the innards powerful enough for the task at hand.
