Review Samsung SF510 Notebook

Dynamic. Samsung scores with design, but misses a sprighty config

Extravagant looks; Good application performance; Good battery life; Low system noise; Low waste heat; Good brightness; Low power consumption; Useable input devices; Good sound

Few interfaces; Contrast poor TFT; Narrow viewing angles; Low 3D performance; Base unit lacks stiffness; No basses

The base unit isn't as solid as the looks promise, despite the installed battery.

Samsung SF510

This slick ivory notebook supplies good performance, long battery life, and plenty of neat extras.

At $629, the SF510 offers solid performance, great battery life, and a super slick design. While the HP G62t ($559 when similarly configured) also has plenty of style and comes out slightly ahead in performance, all of the extra features Samsung packs...

Samsung SF510: Sleek Design but Ho-Hum Features and Value

The Samsung SF510 undeniably looks good. Its sleek white exterior makes this all-purpose laptop look thinner than it really is, and the light weight doesn't hurt either. Flipping open the lid reveals an LED-backlit, 15.6-inch display and a nearly full...

Excellent keyboard ; Sleek exterior and light weight for a 15-incher

Intel graphics useless for modern PC games ; Motion smearing in video

Samsung ships an elegant looking laptop with a great keyboard, but the machine is overpriced for what you get.

Samsung SF510 Notebook

Gorgeous styling for an all-purpose notebook.

The Samsung SF510 is quite a good notebook. Aesthetically speaking, the Samsung SF510 has a beautiful finish with its white exterior, and black and gunmetal interior. The attention to design is excellent, something Samsung is known for, and the SF510...

This was my first laptop purchase.

I use this computer for school, internet and some basic multitasking. The features this has works great for what I needed.

I love everything about it so far

In the beginning when first setting up laptop it sets the hard drive up into some weird partitions that are not normal for most computers

Great except for the size

Fine for using at home. Forget taking it with you on the plane or to the coffee shop!

It would be great with a smaller screen and a smaller form factor. The casing is attractive, the keyboard is big, so it's easy to type. Has decent resolution. Easy to use, straight out of the box

why is the first part of set up figuring out how to partition into two drives? Bulky size bad. Keyboard does have a few odd placements for keys, so I sometimes find I have to retype. And the arrows for moving up and down are in the wrong place
