Review Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro XE700T1C A02 Convertible

Smart Business. Until now, the Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro has been available only to business customers. The manufacturer is now selling the convertible tablet through regular retail channels. We will see if the new offering is as convincing as its...

Many input options... ; ...and all of them work flawlessly ; NFC, WiDi, and WWAN ; Very bright high resolution display ; Fast SSD with ample capacity

Materials are not top-notch ; Port selection is limited ; No RJ45 jack ; Both CPU and GPU don't achieve maximum frequency ; RAM operates in singe-channel mode ; Battery life is only average

The eye-watering price

Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro Review

Hybrid laptops seems to be the mantra for all laptop manufacturers these days. It's inevitable to not come out with one to counter competition. That's the reason why we're now witnessing a sudden flow of these convertible devices. Samsung's offering in...

We found something strange while using the review unit that was sent to us by Samsung. When using the tablet while it was docked to the keyboard, we could repeatedly hear notification sound of a USB device being unplugged and plugged. We found that it...

Review Samsung Series 7 XE700T1A-H01DE Tablet/MID

Tablet + Notebook = Slate PC? Samsung aims to unite the best of the notebook and tablet worlds with its new Series 7 tablet. To this end the Windows Tablet gets a docking station and keyboard and runs some touchscreen-optimised programs. Is this enough...

Premium design ; High quality materials ; Included docking station ; Bluetooth keyboad ; Touch launcher ; Bright display with good viewing angles ; Satisfactory performance ; Fast SSD ; Long battery life

Reflective front face-plate ; Very warm upper edge ; Errors with the stylus

Samsung Series 7 Slate Review: Laptop Power in a Slim Package

The Samsung Series 7 Slate takes a different path from tht of other recent Windows 7 tablets, packing more-powerful components that include an Intel Core i5 processor and a 128GB solid-state drive. But the fancy ingredients aren't cheap: The Series 7...

Powerful 2G Intel Core i5 processor ; Roomy 128GB hard drive ; Great screen with dual Wacom pen and touch

Heat exhaust vent impedes use in portrait mode ; Fan runs almost all the time

Samsung has packed an entire Intel Core i5 laptop into a slim, light slate tablet. Too bad it had to pack a fan in there, too.

Samsung Series 7 Slate PC

All quiet on the Windows 7 tablet front? Well, no, but we haven't exactly seen many shots fired lately. Sure, HP recently refreshed the Slate 500 with the Slate 2, but for the most part, products like this have been eclipsed by excitement around...

Fast performance ; Smooth pen input ; Works well as a laptop replacement

Very short battery life ; Heavy and bulky for a tablet ; No full-sized SD slot

The Series 7 is fast and powerful enough to replace a travel laptop, but with a price this high and battery life this short, it's best suited for businesses with very specific needs.

Samsung Series 7 Slate 700T

With all the hype surrounding the new Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet, and favorites such as the iPad 2 and Asus Transformer, it's easy to forget that there are still new Windows tablets hitting stores. In fact, Windows tablets have been around for years,...

Samsung's Series 7 Slate is a powerful touch-screen Windows 7 PC, with a very Windows-8-like optional interface.

Onscreen typing is finicky and headache-inducing. The sold-separately dock and keyboard are practically required.

The Samsung Series 7 Slate 700T is the fastest Windows 7 tablet we've tested, and paired with its optional accessories, it provides a very laptop-like experience, but one marred by the typical awkward onscreen Windows typing experience.

Samsung Series 7 Slate (700T1A)

The back of the Series 7 Slate is covered in dark grey brushed aluminum. On the upper left corner, there's another integrated camera, this one providing 3 megapixels. It's not going to replace your regular point and shoot, but it lets you snap photos...

Laptop capabilities in a tablet form factor. Core i5 CPU and 4GB of RAM. 128GB SSD

No tether or storage for stylus. Without the dock and keyboard, the tablet loses some of its functional appeal

The Samsung Series 7 Slate fills the gap between wimpy Windows tablets and clunky convertible laptops, providing a powerful processing and portable solution.

Samsung Series 7 Slate PC review - Liliputing

It’s likely that more tablet computers have hit the streets in the past two years than in the previous decade. But tablets have been around for years — they just didn’t always look like the iPad

Samsung Series 7 11.6" Slate

It doesn't take a relationship counselor to see it: In our reviews and others', Windows and touch-screen tablets don't have the best reputation for getting along. As we saw with Fujitsu's admirable attempt—the $849 Stylistic Q550 Slate PC—at massaging...

Big, bright, and gorgeous screen ; Good touch and multi-touch responsiveness for a Windows 7 slate ; Fast processor, RAM and storage

Expensive ; Too big and awkward to hold for long periods ; Poor sound-recording capabilities

This powerful tablet has a beautiful, large 11.6-inch screen and runs Windows 7 respectably well. Consider it if you need the power of Windows in a tablet that can convert into a laptop via accessories, but mind the hefty weight and price.

"Nice, fast device. Software needs to improve."

I was really excited to try this tablet with windows 7 professional as a replacement for the Android table and Windows laptop combination I had been using. Especially since I could add it to our AD domain to manage resources.

Accurate touch screen, fast processor and SSD. Bright screen. Loud speakers. Ability to run windows applications (like Office). Good dual band WiFi NIC. Has a TPM (yep bitlocker support)!!

Samsung add-on software. Ambient light sensor position. On screen keyboard and blue tooth keyboard (wakes up slowly, often dropping first character typed).
