Review Samsung X360-Premium SU9300 Black Notebook

Flat, handy – mobile? Samsung designed the X360 series in view of

Light and handy; User-friendly placement of the connections; Docking port; Bright display with good illumination; HDMI connection; Good battery life, already with the 6 cell battery

No UMTS Option; Reduced right shift key; No optical drive; Fairly expensive

For instance the recently from us tested, but smaller, Toshiba Portégé A600, which uses the same processor and graphic solution.

Samsung X360-34P

This impressively thin, luxury ultraportable offers good battery life and performance along with a head-turning design.

If you have the money and you're torn between the style of the MacBook Air (’,499 with a 128GB SSD) and the functionality of the Lenovo ThinkPad X301 (’,613 when similarly configured to the X360), the Samsung X360-34P delivers the best of both worlds....

In recent months, Samsung has been lying low in the U.S. notebook market. But its new X360 is an interesting contender among ultraportable models--sleek enough to take on the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 or even the ThinkPad X200. Though its sex appeal can't...

Bright, easily-viewable screen Fantastic battery life

Pretty, but pricey

Samsung's X360 certainly doesn't come cheap. But with the 128GB SSD drive on board, you wouldn't expect it to be a huge bargain. Overall it's a solid machine for indoor and outdoor use. Lenovo's X200 now finds itself facing much stiffer competition

It struck me as I raced headlong down the long front straight at Monza and prepared myself for the heavy braking that would be required for the Variante del Rettifilo that I might just be getting the hang of this. Here we were, well into the third lap...

With the easily accessible Arcade mode and the great degree of customization of the difficulty level in the more complex Simulator mode, SBK X will appeal to rank amateurs and devoted motorcycle racing fans alike. It provides a reasonably accurate...

Samsung X360 Clouds Apple Air

Samsung makes laptops? Yes, and the new X360 is the PC answer to Apple's MacBook Air. But can this ultralight smoke Voodoo and Sony, too?

Samsung X360

If you're not a Mac guy and are looking for an Air competitor, look no further than the Samsung X360.

Following up on the media and marketing frenzy of the Apple MacBook Air, Samsung is now set to try to match up with the razor-thin portable laptop with an entry of its own. The X360 is the PC attempt to one-up the competitor, and Samsung has packed a...

Samsung X360 review

The lightest 13.3in notebook ever also comes with an airy price point to match. Does it deliver performance too?

The spec sheet may seem sluggish, but the X360 is stupidly light, brilliantly well built and the best connected in its class

Product Specifications

Capable of meeting the extreme performance and connectivity needs of the aristocrats of the mobile world, the X360 sets a completely new standard in mobile computing - offering a comprehensive set of features unlike anything of its kind on the market. Even though it is the lightest notebook in its 13.3-inch class, the Samsung X360 incorporates all of the extensive functionality demanded by ultra mobile and results-driven professionals. It also boasts an integrated digital motion camera, so it's easy to stay in touch with colleagues or friends using video-conferencing or live messaging. But there is more, for business and home office users the X360 incorporates a 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN connection and support for Samsung P-Dock, docking station - which simplifies cabling and provides a "single click" connection and easy access to a wide variety of ports. For non stop productivity on the move, the X360 incorporates a removable 6 cell battery that enables up to 10 hours continuous use - making all day mobile computing a practical reality. Its efficient power consumption is supported by the use of Intel Centrino 2 Ultra Low Voltage processor technology and an innovative 13.3" WXGA (1280 x 800) LED screen, whose backlight technology consumes significantly less power but delivers around 33 percent improved brightness over a traditional LCD screen, so it is easier to work in a range of conditions. With its captivating craftsmanship, the X360's Protect-O-Edge casing is built using durable magnesium alloy to provide amazing strength and superior reliability coupled with enhanced ergonomics and premium styling. And, wherever possible, Samsung uses its own components from memory, batteries and screens. This focus on manufacturing excellence means Samsung mobile computers have one of the best reliability records in the industry, lowering the total cost ownership. With no moving parts SSDs also weigh less, uses significantly less power and are less prone to errors and damage - in fact, the X360 is equipped to withstand twice the impact of the hard-drive-enabled model. So, the notebook will perform faster and last even longer. Finally, the X360 features an amazing Samsung innovation - Silver Nano technology.
