Review Samsung 550C22-H01US Chromebook

Reliable office worker. Chrome OS is still young with a very limited scope, but it already excels in everything it has been designed to do. Is this second-generation Chromebook from Samsung worth a look to on-the-go business and office users?

Bright matte display, Large touchpad, Long battery life, Secure and reliable, Almost instantaneous performance, Easy to use and learn, Strong wireless capabilities, Almost noiseless, DisplayPort and USIM options, The Chromebook has a narrow and limited...

Limited in flexibility and scope, Essentially useless without an available Internet connection, Not easily end-user upgradeable, no USB 3.0/HDMI/eSATA/sleep-and-charge, Fragile AC connector, A backlit keyboard would go a long way in adding additional...

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook 550 (XE550C22-H01)

The new Samsung Series 5 Chromebook 550 (XE550C22-H01) laptop is a speedy 3G-equipped portable Web terminal. It works well in that regard, but there are other netbooks and even ultraportables that do more for less money.

Quick bootup into Chrome. Full rich Website support, including Flash. Chrome Extensions and setting carry over from PC-based browsing. 100MB 3G free a month for two years. Verizon 3G. Less Malware to worry about. Ethernet port

Locked into Google account. Google Docs/Drive isn?t Office. Useless without Internet connection. HDMI/DVI/VGA requires an adapter

Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550 Review

There's no doubt that the Chrome OS has improved by leaps and bounds. And Samsung's Chromebook Series 5 550 is a pretty slick vehicle for the platform, especially for those who have basic needs. The comfortable keyboard and bright screen are as good as...

Improved Chrome OS interface with desktop and file manager, Attractive design, Comfortable keyboard, Relatively bright matte display

Runs hot, Expensive, Offline document editing not yet available, Doesn't support 4G

Samsung Chromebook Series 5 (3G, white)

For anybody who loves tech and gadgets, it's not hard to see the appeal of the Samsung Chromebook Series 5. It's a small, good-looking, affordable laptop the whole purpose of which is to keep you connected to your life online. It's even more attractive...

The Samsung Chromebook Series 5 is a small, attractive Netbook with long battery life, true instant-on Web access, and enough computing to use the Internet

The Series 5 is expensive for its features and abilities, and using it can be frustrating depending on your wireless signal strength

Despite solid hardware, great battery life, and fast start-up, we can't recommend the Samsung Chromebook Series 5 until and unless Google improves the Chrome OS.

Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook

Google's Chrome OS, now more than a year old, is perfect for those who live in the cloud and always have an Internet connection. Chrome 19 takes a few things offline (basic photo viewing and editing, document viewing), but most everything is done...

Very portable, strong improvements over last gen Chromebooks software and hardware, fast OS

Lose your Internet connection and the Chromebook becomes much less useful. Mediocre hardware for the price

Review: Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550

It's been about a year since the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook launched. In that time we've seen a lot happen with Google's Chrome browser. Chrome OS has also made for lot of news since then, but we haven't seen it make major headway into its target...

Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook review

Simple enough for anyone to use, stable, secure, some good web apps are available, Google's services are very well integrated and useful

Not that fast, horribly over-priced, too limited for most users, to heavy, limited file support

There's not much wrong with the Chromebook hardware. It's actually a pretty decent machine, it has better connectivity than most Ultrabooks and is certainly a lot cheaper. That said, it's not as powerful as a normal laptop - many costing little more...

Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook review

We’re using the cloud more and more, but Google is too far ahead of the curve with Chrome OS. The updates have made it more usable, but what you can do offline is still too limited, and the file manager desperately needs improving. We could moan that...

Great netbook for fast access to internet

Fast access to the internet. Internet based. I think internet says it. I got mine for only $250 : I want you guys to get in on the discount I got as well so please hurry!

I bought mine for $250 including shipping and sales tax: That really added to my pros. It works just fine, the Samsung build quality is great

The only thing I would have liked is to get the laptop free

Great laptop for quick emails and low end online games

1. Great Speed ; 2. True start- Start-up time is great, even faster than promised ; 3. Very Durable- The laptop feels very durable and strong ; 4. Everything promised by Google is true and meets/succeeds standards

1. Touchpad- The touch bad is a little weird at first but you will get used to it ; 2. Being on a slow internet connection may cause the Chromebook to be slow
