"Powerful, huge, and NOT mobile..."

This notebook is a strict multimedia desktop ...

16.1" display is awesome, sound is good, very quick and capable for its time. Able to run most games

Too big to carry comfortably, battery life around 45 mins w/ screen dimmed! Also, mine runs very hot, and fan is constantly on

"I was expecting more for a laptop with these specs"

big screen, tv tuner, card reader

poor speaker quality. Has a wavy sound. - graphics display is really depressing for a laptop made for video production - Huge - really short battery life - after reading the specs of the laptop I even got more depressed with the output

"PCG-GRT30P cannot run on lower resolution, poor quality and clarity."

Large 16.1" screen Wireless DVD +/- burner Video memory 64MB

Yes, it is large screen, but very bad quality on lower resolution such as 1280X1024 or 1280X768 etc.. Those resolutions are the most common ones. Page 123 of User manual indicates that this model should supported these resolutions and if you do not trust

looks nice

I bought the computer on Friday and then Saturday when I adjusted the screen resolutions the computer broke. There was just a blue background with vertical lines and nothing else on the screen. I spent over 100 minutes speaking to Sony and they informed

"It's expensive but a cheap plastic junk. Returned it in one day."

Screen brightness

Too thick... Screen failure after five hours. The Screen fell off! I mean ripped off. Not the whole thing but the part that touches the audio
