Good Laptop, Bad Luck

Good laptop for the price but I can't say much more, It didn't work long enough to tell much. I still support NewEgg though, my #1 place for electronics!

Extremely durable design and very stylish. It runs vista quite easily and most programs load instantly. Plenty of hard drive space and the amount of ram is sufficient for most applications. Very easy intitial setup

Tons of unwanted software installed, took a long while to delete them all. Doesn't come with any recovery or OS cds. It stopped working after the first day, for some reason the AC/DC adapter I received was deffective but that might just be my luck

Very snappy, durable

A good laptop that my daughter will be using for school. Once I installed open office and a few other essential applications, she'll be set for quite a while.

Very durable design, strong hinges, elegant button design, large keyboard

Junk software, but most laptops come with that. No recovery disks or os disks included

Sony Is Still Perfect

Keep an eye on the price, and look at Sony's other notebooks. Sometimes only a slightly more expensive model will have much better performance (ie. Core 2 Duo, DDR2 667, etc.) Never look past a Vaio though.

This is a great notebook. Performs perfectly for a casual user. Processor performed much better than expected for its lower frequencies. The DVD watching experience is very high quality on this as well. The sound is basic, but no worse than expected on...

The screen is like a mirror. This does help from people looking over your shoulder, but it can cause problems even for the user. Norton 360 is worthless, uninstall it after your free trial is over. Can't blame Sony for it though

I love it

The DVD drive is on the opposite side than I've traditionally seen, but this is good as I'm right handed and plug in a mouse when I'm at home.

Punch for the buck rating is HIGH. Keyboard doesn't flex, has nice feel to the keys, case is wonderful, study as a rock, the hinges are so strong that this lappy doesn't even have a latch to keep the screen down. Two USB ports on both sides (4 total),...

Screen is glossy, makes it hard to see it outside or by a window. (But most laptops have that now, why?)
