"Sell It for Parts While You Can"


Good screen, firewire ready, works well for movie editing, or (worked)

Machine dies, same problem as others, Sony is a complete joke when it comes to service. I'm going to try and sell it for parts on E-bay. I never buy extended warranties, because I expect mfg'ers with Sony's rep to stand behind their products, what a joke

"Great Features But Truely Unreliable!"


Athlon4 1.2 GHz with 128KB L1 and 256KB L2 cache memory. Fast 200 MHz FSB. Installed 512 MB RAM. 30GB Hard drive. CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive. 15" Screen. Firewire port. It's a Sony Vaio

XP gets messed up after a while, no matter how much it's used. Crashes every now and then even if no applications are running (jus XP!). 50% of the time doesn't come back from Standby mode! Extremely heavy! My CD-RW didn't work at first, had it replaced

"Break after 18 months - manufacturing issue"


Poor build quality on second SODIMM socket breaks computer after 18 months approx. There are numerous reports of this on the web but Sony deny responsiblity. I'd recommend you don't buy a Sony

I have become expert at popping open the battery compartment and popping off the power cord. Laptop freezes unpredictably and nothing else works
