Review Sony Vaio Pro 13 SVP-1321C5ER Ultrabook

Red Baron. After the Pro 11 we have a closer look at the 13-inch Red Edition. How much polish can an elitist business notebook handle? How much performance can the just 10 mm thin base unit keep cool? Our review gives the answers. ...

Bright Full HD IPS display with high contrast ; Color accuracy ; Backlit keyboard ; Very low weight ; Battery runtimes ; Normal sized HDMI port ; Fast SSD ; Accessories and TPM ; Battery slice port

Average stability of the base unit ; Wobbly display hinges ; Greasy glossy finish ; Flexible keyboard ; Low quality webcam ; Reduced CPU/GPU performance

The bright IPS display with its high color accuracy. The good runtimes and the energy-saving features of the new i7 processor. The slice battery is a useful accessory

Sony VAIO Pro 13 review: This audacious Ultrabook is guaranteed to get you noticed

Sony's freakishly thin notebook is good for everything but games.

Supremely thin and light ; Exquisite carbon-fiber design ; 128GB SSD

Single-band 802.11n Wi-Fi adapter (2.4GHz) ; Enough real estate for only two USB ports ; Flat keys

The VAIO Pro 13 trades some performance for looks; but this Ultrabook is so beautiful, you won’t care.

Sony VAIO Pro 13

The Sony VAIO Pro 13 shows that you can make laptops lighter and thinner when you use a fourth-generation Intel Core processor. It's very good, though Sony really needs a grand slam to distance itself from similar rivals.

Very light and thin. Speedy performance from SSD. Bright and clear Full HD resolution IPS 10-point touch screen. Full size HDMI. NFC support

Could use more SSD storage. Some keyboard flex. Insistent fan. Back edge of lid can dig into your legs. Very good, but not great, battery life

The Sony VAIO Pro 13 is one of the systems you should look at if you want a full-featured 1080p laptop that weighs just over two pounds. It has carbon fiber, a fourth-generation Intel Core processor, PCIe SSD, and a dozen other buzz-worthy features....

Sony Vaio Pro 13 review

Thin-and-light laptops have always been an area in which Sony impresses, if not dominates. The company's Z-series pioneered many features over the years (like switchable graphics), and while that name has now been put to rest, its ideals are upheld by...

Thinnest, lightest 13-inch Ultrabook available ; Good keyboard ; Beautiful 1080p display ; Great battery life

Feels less expensive than it is ; Limited connectivity ; Frustrating touchpad ; So-so processor performance

Sony’s Vaio Pro 13 is extremely light and offers all-day battery life, but it doesn’t offer the feeling of luxury that its price tag implies.

Sony Vaio Pro 13 Touch Ultrabook

Editors' note: Sony issued a driver update on August 21, 2013 for the Sony Vaio Pro 13 that addresses wireless connectivity issues. On August 19, 2013, a driver update was issued for the computer's Intel PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth...

The Sony Vaio Pro 13 weighs less than 2.4 pounds and uses a fourth-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor to deliver long battery life and very good everyday performance. It has an excellent 13.3-inch 1080p touch screen and is competitively priced for its...

The Pro 13, like its competition, has a nonremovable battery (though you can add an external battery), few ports and connections, and integrated graphics only. Memory maxes out at 8GB.

For those who want an excellent ultraportable laptop with more than just the latest Intel processors, the Sony Vaio Pro 13 Touch is it.

The ultra slim VAIO Pro 13 is quite the looker, but its cost is a burden.

Sony VAIO Pro 13 Ultrabook

Sony's VAIO Pro 13 has a touchscreen, but it's still one of the lightest Ultrabooks on the Aussie market today

Very thin and light ; Excellent screen ; Full-sized SD card slot and HDMI ; Very fast storage performance

A little noisy ; Touchpad isn't great ; Doesn't have Intel HD 5000 graphics

The Sony VAIO Pro is a great Ultrabook to consider if you want something very light, easy to carry, yet comfortable to use and with good performance for common tasks. It even has a touchscreen.

Sony VAIO Pro 13 review

It may be the lightest Ultrabooks we've ever seen and have an impressive battery life, but its thin chassis compromises performance.

Sony VAIO Pro 13 review

The cheapest version of the Vaio Pro 13 costs £859 and you get a Core i5 processor running at 1.6GHz. You don't get a touchscreen, either.

The Vaio Pro may fall short in some areas, but that’s only because it aims so high. Its weight and size are truly impressive, and bode well for the coming generation of Haswell laptops. However, the flexible carbon fibre doesn’t instill confidence and...

Sony Vaio Pro 13

It's the lightest 13-inch ultrabook in the world, but is it the best?

Incredibly light ; Class-leading screen ; Comfortable keyboard

Battery life short of MacBook Air ; Temperamental touchpad

Viewing angles are particularly wide thanks to the IPS display tech, however the glossy finish on the screen does mean it suffers from severe reflections in sunlight and the odd finger smudge or two. Sony has also included its X-Reality mobile picture...
