The SONY VGNCR42ZR T8300 is exactly what you would expect from a Sony the design is great the performance is great and if you have used other makes you will see why it costs a little more.

Beautiful design. Good spec. Great screen. Good multi-taaking performance.

Shorter battery life than expected. Heavy (but all laptops are!). Slowish start up - but is this Vista? (Am used to XP)

Beautiful laptop with excellent specs at a good price point.

Very neat and portable

Would like to have longer usage when on battery power as spare battery is very expensive. Also, would have expected at least the provision of a slip case in order to protect the ultra smart red top
