Review Sony Vaio VGN-FW51MF Notebook

Rich in Minerals. Magnesium isn't only healthy as a trace element

Elegant magnesium case; Good input devices; High performance with good emissions; Display with a great black value and a good color representation

which is, however, unevenly illuminated; Design won't suit everyone; Much bloatware; Newest processor generation not (yet) available

Other efficient multimedia notebooks, like Acer's Aspire 5940 that also already has a Core i7. Even more configuration options are supplied by Dell's Studio XPS 16 or Schenker's MG6. If you'd like it a bit more mobile, you should take Sony's own...

Sony VAIO VGN-FW51ZF/H review

Powerful and has a great screen, making for an impressive, if expensive, laptop

Good screen ; Decent graphics ; Blu-ray drive

Connectivity ; A bit pricey

A Full HD laptop that handles games and HD video with ease but we can't help feel it is a tad expensive

Sony VAIO VGN-FW51MF/H review

Sony's Blu-ray-touting VAIO brings in the New Year with Windows 7 and a glorious high-definition display.

Sony's Blu-ray might have won the war of the high-definition formats, slaying HD-DVD in the process, but the jury is still out as to whether Blu-ray and laptops are a match made in heaven, or just a luxury for the gadget-obsessed. Sony's VAIO...

Sony Vaio VGN-FW51MF

Excellent graphics - handles anything you throw at it , however graphics intensive for its spec ; Superb build - solid frame and keyboard action

Battery life is rather limited on intensive use, somewhat disappointing for a well spec'd laptop in this price range ; Sony Viao gate software loses its lustre, and proves so irritating, is switched off permanently after a while
