Sony VAIO VGN-TX27GP

Tiny

Poor performance

This VAIO is stylish and redefines the meaning of the term ultra-portable. We wouldn't recommend it if you are just looking for a notebook, but if portability is your number one concern, then you can't go past the VGN-TX27GP.

Sony VAIO VGN-TX27GP

Our new favourite ultra-portable, the Sony VAIO VGN-TX27GP offers up a superb design, brilliant battery life and a great blend of multimedia features.

Excellent battery life ; Superb design ; Impressive multimedia features ; Highly portable ; Quality display

Relatively slow performance ; A few minor design quirks

Given our qualitative performance testing and the fact that the rest of the notebook is virtually impossible to fault, we're willing to overlook its low MobileMark2005 performance rating. The Sony VAIO VGN-TX27GP is officially our new favourite...

My Vaio has been an endless hassle with getting rid of crap trial software. There is nothing from Sony as far as useful software. The biggest thing is that their recovery system says that you cannot make a recovery disk without a disk drive and the...

This laptop is really bad in design, esp the screen is so easy to break, the cost of service is sky high, I can not recommend this product to anyone else. I am sure there are lots of brand laptop better than vaio

Sony VAIO VGN-TX27GP

I use a Sony VAIO laptop. For the past two days, it has been 90+ degrees in the Boston area. Today, my VAIO would not start-up. The disk drive area felt very hot. I was able to start after an hour shut-down. Is excess heat a problem with VAIO laptops?

sexy, excellent features

Sony VAIO VGN-TX27GP

This is an excellent laptop. I am on the road extensively and this laptop does all I need it to.

Ultra-Portable ; Very durable ; Excellent connectivity

Aside from the obvious size limitations, the biggest negative aspect of this machine is its market-specific multimedia constraints. The delivered Sony multimedia software is hamstrung by draconian DRM
