The top notch Sony Vaio Z series is trying to make its way as the go-to laptop for busy business bods and media junkies. But can this slimline Vaio win us over and convince us to ditch our 13-inch MacBook Pro? Read our Sony Vaio VGN-Z51WG/B review and...

Sony VGN-Z51WG review

In today's cut-price age is there a place for a full-on no-compromise high cost ultra portable? We weigh up the Sony Vaio VGN-Z51WG in this review.

The Sony VGN-Z51WG is a very fine machine, offering a well built chassis, and great looks, while the excellent performance is married to great battery life. The inevitable high price is its only significant down side.

It has a lovely screen, good keyboard and it's not to heavy. The battery is very good compared with other laptops I've owned - but I'd like it to last just a little longer.

Weight, size and layout. Good speed and operability.

Not enough USB ports - OK I know space is an issue, but one more would help. The computer will not allow the use of two monitors when connected to the docking station. When at home I like to use two large monitors (I could do that with my old dell)....

Good design, although network slot hard for big fingers! Keyboard great, performance and graphics excellent. Very pleased

Power cable shorter and I know friends have had difficulty with cable fraying at transformer.
