Sony Vaio E series (VPCEA3S1E) review

The Sony Vaio EA3S1E is a great looking laptop that's comfortable to use and has a speedy processor. It's only let down by its weak battery life and sub-par gaming performance.

Good screen ; Speedy processor ; Great keyboard ; Fun and funky design

Gaming performance could be better ; Short battery life

The EA3 is a well built laptop from Sony that looks stylish and is comfortable to use. It also has a decent amount of grunt under the bonnet. If you're looking for a 14-inch laptop to use primarily on the move, however, Acer's 4820T is a better option...

Sony Vaio EA3S1E review

The bright blue EA3S1E1 certainly stands out from the crowd, with Sony's signature Vaio design looking just as good here as in any other colour. It's not all style over substance however, as there's a solid system underneath.

The EA3S1E combines solid performance and excellent connectivity in a stylish package, but has disappointing battery life.

Sony VAIOS are great PCs. Only Windows Vista OS was crappy enough to dent their rep.

It's not Apple

Sony Vaio E series (VPCEA3S1E)

Can't help thinking this review is a little late - I've owned this laptop for almost a year now! My model has a 1600x900 screen and it's genuinely fantastic, makes working on two things side-by-side so easy. Can't go back to a lower resolution screen...

Fantastic screen, good construction, the fact it comes in bright green, awesome keyboard and touchpad, plenty of connectivity, fast and responsive

Sony VA10 14 inch notebook

I have had mine for a month and have found it the best one I have bought even worth the extra cost (I have had three Acers). The keyboard is smooth and easy to use, you have three usb hubs on the right hand side and a one touch select key to the web...

Sony Vaio

I am very happy with this product and in fact all Sony Vaio products. I had bought my first one back in 2006, and it is still working perfectly, even the countless flights when it has been in my suitcase, and my alcohol nights, when I had spilled...

SONY: PURCHASE AT YOUR PERIL. CRAP PRODUCTS, APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am uploading this review because I feel that, as consumers, you have the right to know exactly what kind of manufacturer you will be dealing with. And, because I wish someone had told me this before I purchased a Sony product!

Don't buy!!

I bought one of these laptops - big mistake! They look good but after 15 days of use the screen started having problems. Sony said the screen is cracked and not covered by the warranty!! I have not done anything to it so no idea how it cracked! Don't...

Good Product

You pay a bit more for a Sony Laptop but what you get is a nice looking, neat 'solid' feeling machine. Particularly like having the latest i3 processor and also the 'chiclet style' full size keyboard feels good. The 14 ins screen is ample and makes for...
