Sony Vaio VPC-EB1S0E/WI review

This Vaio EB1S0E is the first laptop we've seen to use Intel's new Core i3 mobile processor, and so we couldn't wait to benchmark it. An overall score of 77 may not sound much, but considering that it's equivalent to the fastest laptop in our recent...

A gorgeous design and a fast, new processor make the EB1S0E stand out, but the screen isn't as good as it could be.

Sony Vaio EB1Z0E review

Sony's Vaio EB1Z0E is one of the best looking laptops around, with its sleekly understated black chassis. We expected a lot from Sony's latest and the EC1S1EB delivers on all fronts, with a range of features that's among the best we've seen from any...

The Vaio EB1Z0E has a great specification and performance that's among the best for a laptop of its price and size. Despite its slightly cramped touchpad, the Blu-ray player and HD-capable display make this a worthy winner of our Best Buy award.

It feels the part, too, with tank-grade build quality and a perfectly-pitched keyboard. The ensemble's finished off with a 15.5in TFT that's warmer and richer than we normally see at this price. Spot the EB1E0E in a shop and you'd be forgiven for...

Not a powerful beast, but a stylish beauty

Never mind that dark, brooding exterior, however; the real show starts when you boot up Windows and clock the resolution. Other models of around this size stick at 1,366 x 768, but the VAIO EB1Z0E's 15.5in panel goes right up to a Full HD resolution of...

Fusing power, panache and high-definition entertainment, Sony's 15.5in EB1Z0E is a star in the making

While the 2.13GHz Core i3-330M model at the Sony's heart is the cheapest of Intel's Core i3 range, you're not likely to find that a problem in everyday use. An overall score of 1.35 in our application benchmarks makes the Core 2 Duo look geriatric, and...

A powerful performance from the Core i3 chip, but this high-end VAIO fails to make the best use of it

Presentation ok

Instructions on how to get the best out of it are not user friendly ; Quality of sound very poor(tinny) especially when using Skype ; much worst than on my old ASUS machine ; For the price expected something better
