Review Sony Vaio VPC-F11Z1/E Notebook

Stressful muscle man. At the announcement for the release of the

Matte 16:9 Full HD; Good viewing angle; High Brightness; High processor performance; Good performance for games; Clear layout of buttons; Good feedback by the keyboard

Volume; Irregular cooling fan speed; High heat dissipation; Short running time

The Asus G60J offers better graphics but a worse display. The Asus M60J is available in a very similar configuration for about 1.100 Euros, the Asus X62J for under 1.000. In both cases however, the display only provides an HD-Ready resolution.

Sony Vaio VPCF11Z1E/BI review

Sony's media centre laptop shines thanks to its Full HD screen

Good battery life ; Superb screen ; Lots of style

Performance not as good as anticipated

With Full HD Blu-ray playback and enough power available for almost all use, this is a great media centre option

Sony Vaio VPCF11S1E/B review

The Sony Vaio F11S1E is a large but sleek laptop with a powerful Intel Core i7 processor, an Nvidia GeForce GT 330M graphics chip and 6GB of RAM, which powered it to an overall score of 101 in our benchmarks. This makes it as powerful as many desktop...

With a powerful multi-core processor and graphics chip, plenty of RAM and a Full HD display, the F11S1E is an ideal image and video processing workstation.

Sony Vaio VPC-F11Z1E

Great performer even better since changing the HDD to SSD which has improved battery life from indifferent to acceptable

Lid is too flexible making the screen fragile this has resulted in the need for a replacement screen already ; Replacement screen is eye wateringly expensive at 3-4 times the cost of a comparable screen. This is nothing short of daylight robbery

Sony Vaio VPC-F11S1E

Has been consistently reliable albeit requiring regular 'housework' but that due to OS and/or driver and software malfunctions. NOTE Actually purchased 12th June 2010, NOT AS registered by SONY

Keyboard failed (couple of keys became dislodged and failed to register when contact made), found replacement keyboard and fitted myself thanks to online manual on how to achieve this
