Good screen quality, smart design

Very heavy battery, keeps turning itself off when you move the screen slightly. Only comes with a trial version of Windows Starter 7 which isn't great considering the price you pay for the netbook

Sony Vaio VPC-W12S1E (Netbook)

Flawless!! I bought for net surfing, skype, messenger and work also something I can travel with. It is small, compact, light and fits in to my bag nicely not like the big bulky heavy laptops. I travel a lot so wanted something I can travel with. I...

The only thing that let's it down is the speakers they work ok! Just bit tiinny in sound which is shame for an amazing netbook. But when travelling I use my headphones and when at home use external speakers, so not a major problem. They do work well...

Sony Vaio VPC-W12S1E (Netbook)

I like the compact design of the prouct and the tactile feel of keyboard. I upgraded thw windows 7 starter to home as the basic windows 7 has limited functions

The SD card reader has not worked since purchase ,not a big deal but would benice if everything did work. Would prefer to have a Windows 7 home or ultimate from scratch

Sony Vaio VPC-W12S1E (Netbook)

This product looks good and performs well when used for surfing the net, I'm yet to try much in the way of word processing etc but I think it would do ok as long as you don't expect miracles.

The battery is a bit of a shock, it's huge but does have a long life, about 6.5 hours on average. The pictures should show you how big the battery is so are a bit misleading.

nice looking, reliable machine with good battery life

windows 7; battery lock does not work effectively; and the protruding attery ruins an otherwise solid all round notebook
