Toshiba Portege Z835-P370

Toshiba plays the value card as well as the featherweight card with its Portege Z835-P370 ultrabook.

As light as a 13.3-inch ultrabook gets. Plenty of ports. Backlit keyboard. 6GB of RAM for the price of competitors' 4GB

Screen a little flimsy. Keyboard a little stiff. No Smart Connect technology

Toshiba Portege Z835-P370

Although it's less than 6 months old, it already feels as if we've been living in the ultrabook era forever. When a new laptop arrives, I automatically assume it'll be thin, lightweight, with a solid-state drive for storage; in other words, like a...

The Toshiba Portege Z835 offers more configuration options than most ultrabooks, and includes features, such as an Ethernet port, left out of other models.

The design worked fine on the least expensive ultrabook, but this more-expensive version doesn't look and feel as nice as the competition.

The original Toshiba Portege Z835 was a fantastic value that helped us overlook a weak touch pad/keyboard combo. This faster version is about $200 more, but keeps the same so-so design.

"The SSD crashed in one year of relatively minimal usage"

If they don't honor my warranty and fix my PC, I'm going to swear off Toshiba for my entire household for the rest of my life. They have a chance to make it right, or their PC will be a hunk of junk forever.

Lightweight. Backlit keyboard. Pretty good battery life

Right at the time that my 1-year warranty ran out, my SSD crashed (according to Best Buy service). Toshiba started the 12-mo count on my warranty before I received it.

"Hardware is failing"

It is light to travel with

Have it for three months and sent it for service once again. So far it had: keyboard failure; speaker failure, and screen failure. First time it was free, now they want $450 from me. Doubt if I should pay or just trash it.

"I Love It So Far!"

I got this Ultrabook about 2 months ago, for my commuting purposes to college. My other toshiba laptop weighed a ton so my mum thought this was a necessary investment.

+ Core i5 speed

- Toshiba claims 128 GB of storage, it only has like 102

"Broke in one month due to "water damage" Portege Z835"

Toshiba is horrible company with bad computers, I had a $500 satellite and the motherboard failed in 6 months. Toshiba has computers that are made to break so that you need to purchase another computer yearly.

Unreliable, Toshiba sucks, Third Toshiba burnt through this year

$1044 worth of damages from a small amount of liquid from Toshiba and the keyboard is supposed to be "spill-resistant"

"You really want it to be a great machine. But alas..."

Cannot stress this enough. You can buy their absolutely best premium support and you will receive absolutely NO support. It is scary how many people you need to speak with, how long it takes to get back to you and ultimately, how long it takes for your...

It's really small. Light. The Wifi works good compared to other Ultrabooks.

1) Blue Screen Of Death.
