Toshiba Qosmio F750 review

Toshiba's Qosmio range was the first to bring us glasses-free 3D, and we were so impressed with the X770 that we awarded it 4.5 stars. The Qosmio F750 continues the tradition, albeit with a couple of drawbacks.

Great erformance ; Decent build quality ; Good screen ; Glasses free 3D

Usability ; Battery life

Toshiba Qosmio F750-10Q review

The 15.6-inch Toshiba Qosmio F750-10Q is a bold-looking laptop with some powerful components. Its glasses-free 3D system is certainly interesting, but it's definitely not ready for the prime time just yet.

Powerful components ; Full HD screen ; Glasses-free 3D will appeal to some

3D system is far from perfect ; Poor battery life ; Uninspiring keyboard design

The Toshiba Qosmio F750-10Q certainly makes a bold visual statement with its blood-red shell and macho carbon fibre effects. But while the hardware under the hood offers a powerful punch, we're not convinced about the machine's 3D system just yet.

Toshiba Qosmio F750

The latest in Toshiba's Qosmio line is an entertainment-heavy beast. And we do mean heavy.

Great display screen ; Good speakers ; USB 3.0 capable

1366x720 display screen feels like a missed opportunity ; Predictably poor battery ; Weighs a lot

The Qosmio F750 clearly isn't a notebook for everybody; if you want thin and light or long battery life, especially, it's not for you. However, those looking for a notebook that could serve as their entire home theatre experience with the flexibility...

Review: Toshiba Qosmio F750

Whoever said you need clunky glasses for 3D? Toshiba's Qosmio F750 does it with a unique eye-tracking feature, but it's not perfect.

Surprisingly good glasses-free 3D video playback; decent, high-end midsize laptop

3D effect works best for a single viewer; games and online 3D videos don't work yet; 3D content playback at lower resolution than 2D

The Toshiba Qosmio F750 is a bit of a one-trick pony, but when it worksright, it's a pretty good trick. It's exactly the kind of technologythat a company such as Apple would refine for a few additional in-housegenerations before releasing to the...

Toshiba Qosmio F750

The Toshiba Qosmio F750 is the world's first laptop to feature a glasses-free 3D screen. It's also a great media centre machine, with an integrated Blu-ray drive, HD display and powerful components. Read on to find out if that's enough to make it a...

The Toshiba Qosmio F750 is the first laptop to get a glasses-free display. It's an impressive panel, with a Full-HD resolution that looks perfect and pin-sharp in regular 2D mode. It's not quite so good when viewed in 3D, but more on that later

Although the screen offers pin-sharp images when used in 2D mode, things aren't so impressive when using the laptop for 3D means. You'll find signs of ghosting when watching movies, and the resolution also drops

Overall, although the Toshiba Qosmio F750 is a decent enough all-rounder, it's not worth buying for the 3D screen alone. Options we've seen with active or passive glasses have actually offered better 3D images, and we'd be tempted to wait until the...
