Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV78

If its tacky paint job and overall design don't turn you away, the Qosmio X775-3DV78 is a fast and full-featured gaming laptop.

Very good performance. Stylish, comfortable keyboard. Display supports full 1080p HD. Integrated Nvidia 3DVision. Blu-ray reader, two large hard drives included.

Atrocious battery life. Tacky design. Lacks graphics switching system. Mouse buttons are noisy.

The ; is a stereoscopic 3D laptop with excellent CPU performance and high-end graphics. The Nvidia 3D Vision system works as advertised. Tons of RAM and hard-drive space and a Blu-ray-RW drive are part of a big feature list.

Bulky and heavy, this isn't a laptop that's ever likely to leave a desk--especially with its unsurprisingly poor battery life.
