Review Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 Notebook

Affordable Touchscreen. Throwing in a touch-enabled display on an

Attractive aluminium case; Good CPU performance; Sensitive touchscreen; Large touchpad; Decent speakers; HDD and RAM easily accessible

Lid sensitive to pressure; Keyboard with soft touch and short travel; Rather slow system performance; Graphics performance reduced while running on battery; Some ports not ideally placed for right-handers; Glossy screen should be brighter for outdoor...

At $700, the P845T is one of the least expensive touch-enabled Windows 8 notebooks currently available.

Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310

If you've been paying any attention to tech lately, chances are you've heard phrases like "Windows 8," "ultrabook," and "touch screen" being tossed around with increasing frequency. The Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 is a mainstream laptop that...

Ten-point touch screen. WiDi. Built-in optical drive. Decent performer

Shallow travel on keyboard. Keyboard not backlit. Bloatware

With its decent performance and admirable feature set, the Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 is a good option for anyone on the market for a touch-enabled Windows 8 laptop, but it's not the best value currently on the market.

Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 review: a little too bulky for the price

Decent video and audio encoding performance ; Touchscreen is smooth and accurate

Overall performance isn't so hot ; Display looks a little washed out

Fast boot time ; Excellent sound quality ; Responsive touchscreen

Temperamental touchpad ; Short battery life

Click to EnlargeAs with the original Satellite P845, the $799.99 Toshiba Satellite P845t-S4310 has an attractive chassis and excellent audio, but now boots in a flash and has a responsive touchscreen. However, this notebook's below-average battery life...

Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 review

Toshiba's Satellite P845t-S4310 is an interesting mix of budget laptop and all-purpose machine. It's bigger and bulkier than most of the sleek machines on the market today, and its performance leaves quite a bit to be desired – even within its class....

The Toshiba Satellite P845t-S4310 is a pretty nice computer, with nice speakers, a useable touchscreen, and some expensive-looking design elements. But I cant help but think that a computer this bulky and under-performing needs a lower price-point. For...
