Cheap and light. First of all many ultrabooks are expensive. But Toshiba use a simple plastic case for the Satellite U940 and equip the 14-inch laptop with attractive components including a Core i5 and a dedicated SSD cache. ...

easy to maintain and upgrade ; quiet ; relatively cheap ; good build quality ; SSD cache ; 2x USB 3.0

dark, reflective display ; inaccurate hinges ; very hot under load ; spongy keyboard ; plastics case

Despite the frugal ULV CPU, the notebook gets extremely hot under load, especially on the underside. Even many high-end DTRs stay cooler under similar load
