The Toshiba Tecra A6-S513 is the sort of system you can take to work to manage the grind, and then pop in a DVD movie on your commute home. It's great for travel and its price is reasonable, but those who require high performance should look elsewhere.

Excellent

Not a gaming laptop and definitely get a 1 GB memory upgrade. A pretty good laptop for college.

Nice bright screen. Small and lightweight. Extremely fast. Cool fingerprint tech. Hassle free wireless and wired technology. No setup required. Thanks newegg for fast processing

I Hope we can continue to get XP Operating Systems on laptops.

Surprising speed and lightweight. Normally purchase ASUS but tried this Toshiba wanting XP operating system

Good business laptop

I bought this because it was a reasonably light, yet quick laptop for a very reasonable price. I'm quite pleased with what I got.

Windows XP Pro was a big plus and it runs very smoothly. The battery life is quite good, on the long life settings I easily get more than 4 hours. Pretty quick start-up once you remove all the annoying pre-installed software. Solid design and light

As other have noted, lots of pre-installed software, some of which is a pain to uninstall. 512 MB RAM is a little low and I do wish it came with a DVD burner. The fingerprint reader doesn't seem all that useful

Great value for money, but....

Processor (Core Duo) is fast for a laptop *weighs only 5 pounds! *Screen has good clarity *Great battery life (4+ hrs w/ WiFi) *Fingerprint reader!! *Good keypad *Good Toshiba technical assistance *Does not get hot unlike Dell, HP and Sony notebooks...

Delicate - my laptop initially would shut down if moved slightly.
