Toshiba Tecra A6-S513

Toshiba piles on the value in this secure, long-running business laptop.

Good balance of weight and screen Great battery life

Bluetooth not included, Not user configurable

This handsome, light business portable offers extra security and makes a great commuter notebook.

Toshiba Tecra A6 Review (pics, specs)

The Toshiba Tecra A6 is one of the first of Toshiba's Core Duo based laptops available on the Australian market. Toshiba describes this as being a desktop replacement due to its high specs however the light weight of this laptop (approximately...

Toshiba Tecra A6-S513

All work and some play is the message Toshiba seems to be sending out with its Tecra A6-S513. The new laptop is aimed at those who split their time between corporate duties and leisure activities. The Tecra A6-S513 features several midrange components,...

Sleek exterior. Light enough for extensive travel. EasyGuard Suite. Good battery life

Not for performance seekers

The Toshiba Tecra A6-S513 is the sort of system you can take to work to manage the grind, and then pop in a DVD movie on your commute home. It's great for travel and its price is reasonable, but those who require high performance should look elsewhere.

Toshiba Tecra A6 (PTA63A-004002)

It has a decent set of features for its sub-$2000 price tag

It's performance was slower than expected

A decent, but not particularly inspiring machine, the Tecra A6 will suit those who need an affordable business notebook.

Toshiba Tecra A6 laptop review

With the number of notebooks now on the market it is hard to imagine that at one time, Toshiba had the game all to itself. With over 21 years of experience in portable computing it knows a thing or two about mobility. Take the Tecra A6 for instance, it...

Light, great battery life, business-focused

Not the most cutting-edge of specs

If you’re looking for a fully featured notebook with plenty of staying power, this is a great machine but you won’t find little extras as standard

Toshiba Tecra A6 review

Powerful and mobile, but better value can be found elsewhere

Above-average battery life

Network options disappointing

Attractive price comes at the cost of performance and compatibility

Toshiba Tecra A6

The Toshiba Tecra A6 is a well-designed business laptop that delivers good performance for the money and a host of business-friendly security features, but its glossy display will prove to be a deal breaker for many.

Strong application performance for the money ; Attractive design and solid construction ; Roomy, comfortable keyboard ; Hard drive protection and spill-resistant keyboard ; Fingerprint reader provides added security and convenience

Glossy screen coating bound to annoy business users ; Not configurable

NOTE: Products in this test are for comparative purposes only and are not necessarily available in the Australian market.

Not a gaming laptop and definitely get a 1 GB memory upgrade. A pretty good laptop for college.

Nice bright screen. Small and lightweight. Extremely fast. Cool fingerprint tech. Hassle free wireless and wired technology. No setup required. Thanks newegg for fast processing

Occasional freezing (probably because i try to play too much games on this thing)

Neat Lightweight Notebook

I Hope we can continue to get XP Operating Systems on laptops.

Surprising speed and lightweight. Normally purchase ASUS but tried this Toshiba wanting XP operating system

Too many Trial programs - typical Toshiba
