Review Toshiba Tecra M11-104 Notebook

Business Case. Toshiba introduces the Tecra M11 as a robust and c

Stable case; Matt, energy saving LED display; Solid computing performance and battery life in standard office

Too expensive for the given configuration; Extra (business) services cost extra; No vPro platform; Inadequate manufacturing in details; UMTS only available in superior models; Congested Windows installation

In comparison, Lenovo's Thinkpads offer a similar but fully developed features. For example, the L412 is almost identical in performance, but makes a more balanced impression and is pleasing with its excellent workmanship. The Fujitsu S760 mingles in...

I bought this Toshiba Tecra because my last laptop was a Toshiba Tecra, and that older Toshiba lasted a little over 8 years, being used almost all day, every day, without incident. This new Toshiba is fast, has exceptional audio, and its functions are...

Toshiba Tecra M11–17W review

Toshiba makes a vast range of business laptops, and sitting right at the top of this range in terms of performance is the Tecra M11.

The Toshiba Tecra M11 – 17W may cost a fair bit, but it delivers a comprehensive set of corporate features as well as superb performance security and reliability.

Toshiba Tecra M11 review

The configuration of the Toshiba Tecra M11 that we've reviewed, the M11-11M, boasts a fast processor and sturdy build quality, but its short battery life is disappointing and it's no oil painting.

Great build quality ; Fast processor ; Good screen and keyboard

All of the RAM isn't addressable by the 32-bit operating system ; Bulky design

As you'd expect from a business laptop, Toshiba's opted for the Professional edition of Window 7, but, bizarrely, it's used the 32-bit, rather than 64-bit, version. As a result, just under 3GB of the system's 4GB of RAM is addressable by the operating...

Toshiba - Tecra M11-11M

If you like your notebooks to have a bit of panache, you'll no doubt loathe the design of the Tecra M10 from Toshiba. With a black, plastic chassis that's devoid of any glitziness whatsoever, this is ...

We like the Tecra M11's no-nonsense design and it certainly feels like it could withstand a bit of rough treatment. The Core i7 processor also provides plenty of raw processing power, making it pretty darn quick. There are a few issues with it, though,...

Toshiba Tecra M11 review

A business-focused 14in laptop with a powerful Core i7 processor

Powerful processor; solid chassis; good range of features; decent keyboard

Poor battery life; expensive compared to the competition; no built-in 3G module

A solid laptop with plenty of business-focused features. Battery life is a concern, though, and the majority of corporate users would do best to save some money by opting for one of the versions with a slower CPU. Cheaper alternatives from rivals such...
