At $799, the WinBook C220 is on the lower end of our value price scale (which tops out at around $1,000), and you get what you pay for. There are no frills here, but you do get basic features and basic computing performance. The system may not zip like...

Frontside FireWire port. Manageable weight

Lacks multimedia features. Sluggish performance

The WinBook C220 won't win any awards for innovation or style, but it can handle basic office and home productivity tasks. If price is more important than performance and pizzazz, it's worth consideration.
