Dell XPS 11

The Dell XPS 11 convertible ultrabook/tablet comes with an incredibly high resolution screen and a lovely carbon fiber chassis

253 ppi, 2,560-by-1,440-resolution screen. HDMI port. Very thin and light. Premium build.

Uncomfortable, quirky membrane keyboard. Middling battery performance.

As a showpiece for Dell's XPS line, the Dell XPS 11 certainly is impressive with its premium materials and svelte dimensions. It also has the four flexible laptop and tablet modes pioneered by the Lenovo Yoga convertibles, and a nice, crisp screen....

Dell XPS 11 review: Dell's hybrid takes a Yoga-like turn

The new Dell XPS 11 hybrid shows that Dell is still capable of swinging for the fences, and putting out a laptop that looks and feels like a true premium product. The XPS 11 is an 11-inch superslim laptop, but it's also a hybrid that converts to tablet...

The Dell XPS 11 is a slim, light hybrid that looks and feels great, and offers decent performance and battery life.

The touch-style keyboard, lacking actual keys, is an experiment that just doesn't pan out.

Attempting to out-Yoga the Yoga, Dell's flip-screen XPS 11 has a great design, but isn't as practical as other hybrids for actually getting work done thanks to a frustrating keyboard.

Dell XPS 11 ( Fall 2013)

Unlike the Yoga line, where the keyboard, while deactivated, is still clacking around under your fingers in tablet mode, the XPS 11 tries a different tack. In this case, the keyboard is actually almost entirely flat, with no moving parts. It's very...

Dell XPS 11 User Review

The Dell XPS 11 may have been ahead of its time, but it's still a pretty great machine.

Small, thin, and light ; Excellent screen with a high resolution ; Touch enabled display works well ; Excellent specifications for an 11” ; Good Battery Life ; Runs very cool

Only two USB ports ; Sound rocker not very useful ; Keyboard takes getting used to

Dell XPS 11 Review: Flexible or Flailing?

The 360-degree hinged Dell XPS 11 2-in-1 laptop/tablet offers a solid Windows 8.1 experience in both modes and offers good connectivity, but will its odd keyboard make it fall flat? Read our full review to find out.

Hinge design ; Good battery life ; Portable ; Sharp screen

Awful keyboard ; Shaky in tent and stand modes ; Runs hot ; Pricey

Dell XPS 11 Review

Dell's sleek, carbon fiber-clad XPS 11 is a hybrid convertible laptop that attempts to marry the best of a powerful Ultrabook and a performance tablet in a slim package. Rather than start with a tablet and then add a keyboard dock like in Asus'...

Dell XPS 11 - Flip to the Future

The Dell XPS 11 is an 11-inch convertible Ultrabook that transforms from a notebook into a tablet quickly. It also runs on an Intel Core Y-series processor, which allows it to consume less energy that many other Ultrabooks that use processors from the...

Good build quality ; Decent battery life ; Multiple usage modes

Touch keyboard not easy to use ; Pricey

Usually, people who are buying a notebook would be concerned of the machine’s overall look. In this department, the Dell XPS 11 definitely screams "buy me!" as loud as it can. And the best part is its sleek, dark design with aluminum frame isn’t just...

Dell XPS 11 2-in-1 Ultrabook: So nearly a great hybrid [Review]

The hybrid has very much taken over from the Ultrabook as the focal point for notebook development. Where Dell's regular notebooks have had incremental developments, such as the

Dell's XPS 11 2-in-1 Ultrabook really looks the part, and promises a lot. But it falls short in a key, or should we say keyboard, area. Its light, performance may not be stunning but it's perfectly adequate for a notebook this portable, the price isn't...

Dell XPS 11 review: Convertible ultrabook is more tablet than notebook

The is a portable Windows computer with a fast processor, long battery life, and a high resolution display. Dell calls the machine a 2-in-1 ultrabook, but emphasizes that it features a tablet-first design.

I’m hoping that we’ll see more laptops, tablets, and convertibles with some of the XPS 11’s best features in the coming years. I’ve enjoyed spending time watching videos, reading eBooks, and surfing websites on the high-resolution display and I have no...

Dell XPS 11 Review

Though the Dell XPS 11 may look like an Ultrabook hybrid in the same way that Lenovo's Yoga series is, to fully appreciate Dell's premium offering you must understand Dell's design philosophy behind this sleek, sophisticated tablet. Unlike systems like...

In the XPS 11, Dell has crafted a very sophisticated and refined system with a very polished build quality. The XPS 11 isn’t your father’s old Dell black box, but a very modern machine that’s attuned to the design trends of the day.
