Zepto Znote 6625WD

We've seen plenty of notebooks based on Intel's latest Centrino Duo platform (codenamed Santa Rosa), but the Zepto Znote 6625WD is one of the first of...

High resolution LCD, Media controls (with hardware volume control), Performance

Screen rigidity, Battery life

Zepto Znote 6625WD review

The Zepto Znote 6625WD (£1260 inc. VAT) uses a chassis that is similar in design to the cheaper 6625WD, but whereas that machine uses grey plastic, this more expensive model is finished in a slightly thicker black plastic

Strong grahics ; Good screen

Average keyboard

With a 15.4in 1,680 x 1,050 screen and bucket loads of performance, does Zepto's offering compare well with those of larger and more renowned manufacturers?

A solid if rather dull looking notebook, the Zepto Znote 6625WD makes up for its mundane looks thanks to high-end components and mostly excellent performance at a price that won't break the bank.

Zepto Znote 6625WD

Zepto may be best known for budget systems, such as the -499 Znote 3214W (web ID: 128744), but that doesn't mean it steers clear of innovation. The Znote 6625WD, for instance, has an unusually high screen resolution and a solid-state disk (SSD).

The solid-state disk adds significantly to the cost, so most should choose the cheaper hard disk alternative.
